I don't like the four-team playoff, or any playoff, but . . . I'd probably agree. However, give them their shot, and you never know. For a real playoff, they need some clearer rules, an expanded playoff, and a shorter regular season. Not gonna happen, though.

UCF would still be screwed with an 8-team playoff too. I don't really see the point of citing them to argue for expansion when the big conferences would continue to hog all the spots under such a scenario.

That could be true.

That's why if they are gonna have a playoff, they need rules that people agree upon before the season--like pro sports. SOS can be--can be--misleading, since games are about match-ups as well. Plus, it gets hard to schedule opponents.

Still, as far as SOS goes, UCF just beat the team who beat two playoff teams.

(2) All non power conf undefeateds are in
(3) Remaining spots are at-large bids

Seeding is independent of the above criteria.
