Definitely! Those were the golden years. I liked the bowl win over Florida. Most of the games they lost in that era, they should have won (BC, Penn State in '90 or '91, Colorado)...

My experience was you either loved them or hated them. My family was a hate them.

Black quarterbacks? DUDE. :lol:

I had a few relatives who played there, so some of us were fans. Some of my brothers were more like pittmike.



Lol. Not that I know on the black qb’s. I’m not sure why my mom disliked Notre Dame. She grew up catholic to a mom who grew up catholic on the south side.

With Dad I assume it was instilled by years of Big 10 indoctrination and a slight anti catholic bias that his parents had.
