We'll talk on Monday. Beating a MAC school and a terrible Missouri team only means that Purdue is no longer a doormat. Brohm is building something special though. The process since he has been hired has been pretty remarkable. I just hope we get to keep him for 4 or 5 years before Louisville or an even bigger school comes calling. Luckily, they can now compete on money with all but the truly insane schools willing to pay nearly $10 million a year.

to go from laughingstock to competitive in 1 off season is very strange. perhaps hazell could recruit but he and his staff were terrible in game coaches? a 9-33 coaching record would indicate bad players and coaching to me...

Hazell got some talent but Brohm also hit the junior college and transfer market hard.

The biggest problem was that Hazell tried to coach Purdue like he was the head coach at OSU. That doesn't work. He was known as a very nice guy who was in over his head on how you win at a school that doesn't get talent to flock to them.

Yeah, but for different reasons. Some positions were alright but others were pretty bare. It also helps to have a quarterback who got to learn on the job and then have this coach show up at the perfect time.

Pretty excited but this game against Michigan, even if they lose, really would show if it is more than just a return to being a capable team.

So where is Brohm's next job? If he is hitting the transfer/Juco market he is trying to get out as fast as possible.

 What? First year coaches do it all the time when they take over a program as bad as Purdue was. His next class will be much more in line with standard recruiting.

He's gone to Louisville when they come calling. He's a legend down there. Obviously, we know the list of big programs that he would jump to also.

Hopefully the huge amount of money being put into football can keep him happy for a few years.

I do like their helmets this year.

Beating Mizzou is not impressive this year. Mizzou is terrible. They gave up a ton of points to Missouri St.

But it does appear they are headed in the right direction.

I don't think you understand the depths Purdue has reached lately. A power five win is like a super bowl

Idk their 3 losses are going to make it really hard to be undefeated.

I mean they outgained opponents in all 3 losses.. Those 3 losses could have been won. This team is legit. They will kick the cheap out of somebody in their bowl game.

Malzahn made the Tigers watch last year's bowl loss to UFC the other day. Looks like it worked.

Rough way to end a season but still happy with the progress being made and next year should be remarkably improved.
