I loved those late '70s/ early '80s DePaul teams. That's what got me into college basketball.

Tyrone Corbin is one of my all-time favorite players.

Aguirre walking back to the hotel after the NCAA loss in his uniform is an amazing story. Kevin Holmes, Marty Embry, Skip Dillard, the disappointment of Dallas Comegys, Bernard Randolph, Terry Cummings, Clyde "The Glide" Bradshaw, Kenny P, loved those teams.

So painful to think about--how did those guys not go to another Final Four or two, how did they not win one? Or losing in the first round....painful. Loved watching them.

I still have the DePaul Final Four Chicago Tribune issue.

It's looking pretty old and yellow as am I.

Same here. Saturday afternoon games with Al McGuire doing color for Dick Enberg. Aside from a couple of Bulls games, the first real basketball game I went to was the DePaul-Notre Dame game in I think 1980 at the Horizon. Still one of my favorite events.

I don't even think I can begin to put together a team.

Because they were coached by the most overrated coach in history, Ray Meyer. He holds the distinction of losing in the first round of the NCAA tourney as a #1 seed more than any other coach in history. He was terrible. Same mistake year after year after year. Get a 4 point lead and then go into the 4 corners stall for the final 10-12 minutes of the game. Failed every time. His son sucked balls too.
