I’ll take ridiculously over-hyped media sensationalism about this instead .

Mayfield has always been white trash but Manziel's performance problems were based on drug abuse and a lack of commitment. Mayfield is an alcoholic with a will to win. His drinking wouldn't have even been noticed back in the day.

Agreed, badrogue.

It looks like the Kansas players started things off by being petty by not shaking hands with OU at the beginning of the game.

Mayfield took a pretty blatant cheap shot to his throwing shoulder after he had gotten rid of the ball. If he or anyone else on OU hadn't done anything to antagonize Kansas, I can see him doing what he did as an FU to them.

I think it would be silly for an NFL team to be wary of him based on this particular incident.

Is there a backstory to why KU would not shake hands? THey say it was a means to get their guys motivated? Are you kidding me?

You are fucking KU football. You have won like 5 games in 30 years.

Not a big deal at all.

All I can say is that no team that gives up 52 points should be ranked # 3.

I think he has some size and arm strength issues as well. I would guess at the combine he comes in at 6'
