That might be a little worse than buying a recruit lunch.

This is amazing. A lot of this was rumors but now it's fact. Lots of programs are in big trouble.

I guess if the FBI is involved, it must be pretty bad, but the NCAA has survived this before (for better or for worse).

Of course, if they start taking teams down, the Illini just may sneak into that tournament and go on a feel-good run that stuns a nation . . .

NCAA drops the death penalty -

NC State - $73,500 payment to recruit
Washington - $42,500 payment to recruit
Illinois - bought a pizza

By the time the smoke clears DePaul might end up being the favorite to win the national championship.

Rumor has it Miller will be replaced on Monday. No word yet on what will happen with Ayton.

What I don't understand is why this is coming out now as opposed to last fall when the FBI announced it's case?

The AD who signed him is at Alabama, isn't he? He knows the drill.

My favorite part about this is watching ESPN scramble to try and objectively cover this scandal while they have invested so much $$$ in broadcasting games.

Today during halftime of Kansas/Texas Tech Jay Williams had to be told what Sean Muller did was at least a conspiracy charge. Before he was corrected, Williams adamantly stated Miller didn't break the law.

I think you're letting your own biases affect how you perceive what you see/hear on tv. Jay Williams mistakingly forgot about the potential conspiracy angle, Reece Davis reminded him and Jay responded that Reece was right. Jay Williams was hardly "adamant" about Miller not breaking any laws, he merely mentioned that he didn't break any laws...and then immediately retracted once he was reminded of the possible conspiracy charges. Other than that Jay and every one else on the game day panel was universally ripping Sean Miller and saying that neither he or Ayton should be allowed to be part of the team the rest of the season.

As I said, he was adamant before being corrected.

Who's lying and when can we find out?

Miller adamantly denies the reports and Arizona backs him up with full support. Wouldn't be surprised if the FBI screwed the pooch on another investigation. What are they good at, anyways?

Like when Anthony Davis Family threatened to sue the Suntimes writer when he talked about his asking price to sign.

Have they? I don't think anyone has heard the tapes except the FBI.

They doubled down that the original report was correct after more investigation.

Bowen Sr. told the jury that he received $2,000 per month from Shane Heirman for Bowen II to attend La Lumiere School in LaPorte, Indiana. Heirman was the head coach of La Lumiere at the time, and is now an assistant coach at DePaul.
