Gage should start and Moore should come off the bench. His 6 assists average aren't worth the 4 turnovers and 39% shooting. He's only going to be exposed more as league play continues. Gage is obviously a better basketball player.

Gage sucks. Was awful as a starter all last year. He's done well this year in a spot role and he should continue to stay there. Moore, for all his bad decisions and hot and mostly cold shooting, he is still miles better than Gage.

The real problem is coaching and an overall lack of talent. Reed is phenomenal. Moore has been good and our second best player all year. The roster takes a huge drop off after that. Butz sucks, showed it last night when matched up vs bigger athletic front court. Weems makes 1-2 good plays a game an that's about it. Coleman-Lands has been good some nights and bad the rest. The bench has nobody who can play outside of Gage who is solid as a back up PG and that's his college ceiling.

Leitao sucks. Team should be forcing the ball to Reed on every possession yet he goes minutes at a time between touches.

I'll give the team credit for one thing, they play hard and defend well every night it seems.

Yep. Charlie Moore's problem is that he is a scoring guard and always has been. He was that in high school and he is still that currently. Gage is the only true point guard on the roster and should be starting. Don't know if they necessarily have to bench "Lil" Charlie but they should be starting Gage.

Gage is bigger, quicker off the bounce, a much better athlete and a better playmaker and defender.

The only thing Moore does better is shoot threes and he runs hot and cold with that.

Its going to be tough to bench him because he has had some success but he does have to be reined in some.

Depaul drops second home conference game to Providence to fall to 0-2 in Big East. Providence first road win of the season. Depaul will be lucky to be on the NIT bubble in March.

This team is capable of going .500 in the Big East. If it does, it's a virtual lock for the NIT. However, its hopes of making the NCAA Tournament are fading quickly.

Zaidman said the refs were calling the game too tight at the end of the game. Always an excuse for any team he covers.

There's no excuse for employing him to cover these games. He is worse than Ed Farmer.

No they're not. BigEast is tough, this shitbag DePaul team isn't coming back from 0-2 at home in conference. And one of those losses is to Providence, one of the worst teams in the conference.

They were 7-11 in conference last year, and I think this team is better than last year's. Also, Providence just beat Marquette on the road, maybe they're better than we think. I don't think it's time to lose faith in DePaul.

It's a shame but the Big East is awfully tough. Underrated.

no high end team, but lots of depth. This year with so many down conferences I'd say its 3rd behind Big10 and Big12. Probably more depth than Big12, but loses out because of Kansas and Baylor.

Well, Butler is #5 with 3 other teams in the top 25. It's a 10 team league with no patsies. Bottom dweller DePaul did beat ranked Iowa along with ranked Texas Tech. Yeah, Big 12 is probably better, but Big 10? I don't know about that.

Big10 is the best conference in the country this year, not even debatable. They're gonna get 10 teams in the tournament.



Amazing game Saturday. Picked a great game to attend. Paul Reed is a stud. It was fun chanting overrated at the many Butler fans in the building.

Come on Shakes, more likely 7. Northwestern, Nebraska, Purdue and Minnesota are not getting in and Penn State will drop off as the conference games take their toll. Hell even Michigan and OSU are getting pounded in conference games.

not even close. As of 3 days ago Joe Lunardi posted his updated bracketology. he has 12 Big10 teams making the tournament.

Big10 is the best conference by far and will be rewarded. As of today they have 10 teams ranked in the Net rankings top 41.

And according to the rankings, they will have 1 team in the sweet sixteen. Big 12 will have 3. Big East will have 2.

I guess they should cancel the tournament since we already know who the S16 is.


If you've watched this crazy season you'd know that pretty much any team in the top 40 can beat any other team. I wouldn't put any stock in predictions beyond who is making the tournament. And there's no doubt the Big10 will get the most teams by far. IN fact, they might even double the second best conference in terms of total bids.
