It's odd, I didn't watch much college basketball this year, but I've got a fever building for this tourney.

It's a good year for the tournament because the Illini are so good. On the one hand, it will be fun to watch them advance a couple of rounds. But on the other hand, it will be even more fun to watch their fans melt down when the inevitable collapse occurs.

It really would have been great if Loyola was sent to Michigan's region. I think they would have had a great chance at an upset

Unfortunately they haven't been worth watching every year. I followed them closely in the 80s when living in Champaign
and again in the early to mid 2000s. Last time I watched regularly is when Brandon Paul was on the team as he went to the same high school as I did, but the last 5 years or more have not been much fun. I generally don't consider myself a fair weather fan but with Illini basketball I admit that I have been.
