As I was driving down today, I was listening to that gambling show on the Score. Apparently the under has hit for 15 years straight. For today’s game, it is 35 points. I was so go over on that……

Under hits again..damn.

I watched most of the D3 semifinal yesterday in which North Central absolutely trucked Mt Union on the ground. It was total bullshit that this game was played in Ohio as NC was the defending champ and the consensus #1 team in the nation. I am impressed that Illinois has so much D3 talent with North Central, Wheaton and even Aurora being top 25 teams. Those schools are all within a 20 mile radius of each other too.

MSU-Bozeman went down to Houston and demolished #1 ranked and defending National champ Sam Houston to move onto the semi finals of the FCS playoffs which they get to host. I’m sure Frank Costanza has been on a 24 hour bender since the game started. I always thought it was a cool setting but never could develop much an allegiance during my time out there. They weee awful but at least I got to continue the “ Go Cats” cheer.

I almost went to North Central on what qualifies for an athletic scholarship at that level.

But I decided to be an accountant instead.

Think of all the Illini talk you’d all have been deprived of if I’d made another decision.

And with the Bahamas Bowl today starts bowl season. What a great benefit to a couple of teams that don't matter.

No doubt, an all expenses paid trip to the Bahamas is a nice way to end the season.

For the refs and broadcast teams as well.

Tried the "Ah, damn!" play, but didn't work for NIU.

Ruled a catch, ball fumbled out of bounds, should have had a dead clock.

The CUSA refs also gave CC three extra seconds at the end of the first half for their field goal. If they don't get that, NIU kicks a FG to send it to OT instead.

My head is pounding and I keep coughing, so I am not watching as closely as I might be, but RR's Cougars* are playing like garbage.

While I Iove the city of Houston, I lost it for the Cougars when I lost money I didn't really have when Akeem and Clyde blew it to f-ing NC State.

But it's nice to see Auburn taking an L. :D

Yeah, I figured you were more of a Phi Slama Jama guy. It's good to see Houston as a football power back. Growing up, they were always there. Heathens, but always there.

I have seen some of the shittiest quarterbacking in these bowls that I can ever remember.

Look at how bad some of the NFL quarterbacking is.... There are many above average college teams that have very average QB's. Add in the weirdness of bowl games with transfer portal/injuries/not playing because of pro career hopes, and it just makes for clumsy performances.

I'm an Iowa State fan, and I hope they beat Clemson tonight. However, because of the reasons listed, I think they have 8 starters from a month ago that aren't playing tonight.

You must not have seen the sacrificial lambs the Big Ten paraded out in the eighties.

Get to see how some of the hyped QB prospects in bowl games and they all are able to avoid sacks by simply being better athletes than the defensive guys, hold on to the ball way too long, these guys will all learn the same lesson Fields is learning in the NFL after taking tons of sacks and throwing tons of picks.

You can also see the guys that can actually coach because some of the smaller programs should not be able to compete with the big time programs given the huge disparity in budgets and facilities. Why the coaches do not stick with the run and grind down the smaller defenses is beyond me, but that is the state of modern football.
