There were some bad calls against each team as in most football games. But the Illini made it really easy for the refs with so many stupid plays.

I respectfully disagree.

The interception that was nullified because Jones had 2 hands on the shoulders of our guy and he still got the pick and was called for PI changed the whole game.

Every pass incompletion you expected them to find a PI somewhere. That's not normal. It happens. I don't recall too many egregious penalties against Purdue.

Illini played poorly. Not saying they deserved to win. But it was horribly officiated.

It is a shame someone has to win the B1G West.

We lost an interception on a questionable PI also. He beat the other guy to the ball.

We got a penalty for doing a defensive line shift because you guys messed up the snap.

Plus you got to kick off from your 40 yard line.

He pushed the guy to the ground and got an INT. That actually was a penalty. They got one right. I agree defensive shift penalty was BS. That’s a pretty cool move. Not sure I’ve seen that before with the arms pumping.

As for the shift call, Martin O'Donnell on the radio side claimed, early in the 3rd quarter before that was called there, that Purdue was doing mock offensive signals when on defense. They finally called it on that one.
