I guess he'd be the second most successful Mens' BB coach from ND? I think Digger won a few bigger games.

Brey is nice enough and interesting enough that I like to watch the Irish play on occasion. Cannot say the same for the Rapin' Pasists Pigskin crew. Growing up in the shadow of the Golden Dome makes you love them or hate them. I chose the latter.

I think he is a great coach who has had to work in the very large shadow cast by football.

There is no guarantee you will win at ND with basketball and I don't think its even some top job to which everyone will be applying. They don't get elite talent. I don't even know if that is some kind of sleeping giant if they hire the right guy. The ACC is tough.

He looks like he has put on a lot of pounds the last couple of years and there have been a couple of interviews where he didn't seem completely on his game.
