We do it every year, every year it fails...so we have hit the insanity level of this analysis. As always we have two decision rules for ties...which creates the 'liberal' and 'conservative' predictions. First the liberal final four: Alabama, Memphis, Texas, Kansas Final Game: Kansas over Memphis Conservative final four: Alabama, Memphis, Houston, Kansas Final Game: Alabama over Houston odds and ends: This is the first time we have ever had an 8 seed predicted in the final four in both. Naturally that means they will lose in the first round. In both versions, not a single B1G team made the sweet sixteen...So put all your money on Purdue. |

Also, if you are looking for a cheap pool, here is mine: Cory's Pool 1 bracket is $2, 2 brackets is $4, 3 for $5. |

I don't watch enough college basketball to intelligently fill out a bracket, so for the past several years I've been assigning a score to each of the top 4 seeds based on field goal percentage, rebounding differential, and strength of schedule. Almost every year it tells me Purdue is the best team in the Tournament. |
