I only caught the first half and they definitely weren't dominating during that stretch. Looking forward to the game tomorrow night and I will definitely be watching that one.

looking forward to their second-round exit

I haven't missed too many Illini games (insert joke here) since Underwood got here, but it's obvious that the guy can't really make in-game adjustments, so I am not expecting much in the tournament. When they are on their game, they're really good, but they also blow a lot of leads and play soft sometimes.

On the plus side, Underwood has made Michigan and Wisconsin his bitch. Ya gotta love it. That's like community service, right there. It's like singing (where singing = praying twice).

I miss seeing the Hoosiers be the Hoosiers. It's like someone took everyone's biggest rival away.

In my opinion they can't play defense enough to get them past maybe a round or two. Simply outscoring teams like Minnesota and Wisconsin in a track meet is one thing, but you aren't likely going to beat many high-end programs when you are giving up 80+ to everyone. The Purdue game will be very interesting, but i think they are going to be forced to score close to 100 again to make it happen.

I was nervous about the Wisconsin game.

Purdue game is on stupid Peacock. Was looking forward to watching it. Oh well.

I hate to say it, and maybe it makes me a bad Illini fan, but when I saw Purdue was +125 on the money line I jumped all over it.

They got beat at their own game in the last couple minutes, giving up offensive rebounds after good defensive possessions and got gashed on several 2nd chance threes. That’s a tough loss, but not really damaging in any way. They still will be a 3-4 seed and like was mentioned above, could be tough to get through the second round.

Watch for the letdown in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes are a team that really needs the win for a chance to go dancing. Not sure what to expect in the conference tournament for the Illini.
