I usually like watching them and I still will but I just don't see many compelling matchups. I wish the automatic tie ins would end.

Northwestern and NIU play on the same day. Why do they want to segregate the entire state's loyal football fans.

Looks like NIU plays at noon and Northwestern in the evening so it is an all day love fest for state of IL football on the 23rd.

I am looking forward to Mizzou and Ohio State.

Mizzou has had a nice season. But I am hoping to see Ohio State knock em off. The Mizzou fans are just out of control. You would think they are Alabama/Georgia fans talking about the power of the SEC and whining about not getting a chance in a bigger playoff format this year.

Poor FSU…13-0 and spurned for the final four, and now they get “raw deal” Georgia. i guess it’s their chance to prove something, but will probably be 38-10…though who knows how many players will be sitting out.

It does suck for them. But I dont think anyone can really objectively argue against it. They have lost their QB and they play in the weakest of the big conferences. They are not in the top 4 right now. Georgia has more reason to be upset than they do. Is there any doubt that Alabama will win another championship?

OSU will be doing it with a new QB

McCord's stats were pretty damn good this year.

They were the hot team down the stretch (though they barely beat Florida). This is one of the better match-ups for sure.

I am looking forward to this one as well. My brother in law is an alum and he really enjoyed watching their game over the Thanksgiving holiday and pointing out how great Mizzou was. Apparently he is going to road trip down to see the game in Dallas with some friends. These games are starting not to matter too much anymore with MANY of the starters that are draft eligible sitting them out.

And players either entering or being forced to enter the portal

No doubt. Between this and the players getting paid/NIL deals, the genie is out of the bottle. Mega conferences will rule all, and if a star player's team doesn't make the playoff, they don't have a lot of reason to put a potential pro contract on the line for a sub par bowl game and a backpack of swag from the sponsor of the bowl. Players will just see you at the combine.

Miami U - App St. is hilarious…absurd downpour & muddy conditions in Orlando just led to the 11th fumble of the game.

The line in that Boise-UCLA game moved two points just before kick. Ethan Garber came out of the locker room unexpectedly dressed to play. He came in in the second half and turned a 16-7 deficit into a 35-22 win (and they took a knee at the Boise 1 to close the game).

Minn has the highest APR (Academic Progress Ranking) of the 5-7 teams. APR is the "tie-breaker" for 5-7 teams.

Wrong! The tie breaker is boat rowing.

That and they beat the Iowa defense on a "fair catch" that wasn't even close to being a fair catch

I loved the bowls as much as anyone. I won't defend them any more with all of the players, even guys who would presumably benefit their lot in life with a good bowl game, opting not to play.

I don't care who wins, but have the 'Military Bowl' on at work as background noise. Playing in a 100% downpour. Has to be a miserable experience as fan, but it's fun watching from a dry office.

I am going to be on Rutgers -1.5 with as big of a play as I can comfortably make.

I know bowl games are a crapshoot with portal, opt outs, etc, and can’t base everything on one game, but it’s been a bad couple days for people that want the smaller conferences represented in the playoffs.

Tulane loses to 6-6 Virginia Tech
SMU loses to 6-6 Boston College

Those teams are 4th and 5th place in a conference where the undefeated champ didn’t even make the playoffs

Both of those teams starting QB opted out. Tulane coach left. Neither was the same team they would have been if they were in a playoff.

also both played in torrential downpours against teams that were essentially playing home games
