Firing Lovie was the right move, not hiring Ariens was the dumb move..they hired that nerd Trestman.

Lovie was a bad hire in Champaign, he's not a good coach.

Losing to NW should be a fireable offense.

Punchless without Imatorbhebhe, but this poor tackling is the real culprit. NU's offense is really bad. I dunno, maybe the NU QB is a skilled scrambler, but it looks like he is moving in slow-motion out there.

The NU announcing team described his movements as lumbering so I’m guessing their assessment of him would not include talented scrambler unless he works with Juan making breakfasts somewhere

"Lumbering" is the correct term, and they couldn't bring him down on a few key third-down runs. Couldn't tackle anyone else, either.

Doesn't he always lose to NW?

LoHo complaining about attendance at the IL/NW game. LOL. They have a very small fan base, and the team has been awful. This is not news.

Former Illini QB afterthought Jon Beutjer has taken over as HC at my alma mater Lyons Township High School. No, it’s not Lovie related, but not worth a new thread either.

Is it normal now to phrase things such as "when he was the head guy over there" and "back in the day" in an article?

Does the author think, "I could look up when he was there but, screw it, nobody cares - back in the day"?

How does someone grow-up the son of a rich NFL coach, and end up pimping in some random town? It would be an interesting book.

I'm wondering about Lovie now. Are his hands dirty? Fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. The son had a priviledged life. Living off dad's name. Coaching jobs from nepotism.
