Tiger quit after getting three straight pars, and we all know, himself included, that he would face more scorn for WD'ing than shooting 79.

Guys WD all the time, yet only one gets called a pussy and a quitter.

McIlroy quit the 2013 Honda Classic after a bogey, and a triple bogey to get him to +7 thru 7, but somehow that is different.

Those that want to hate Tiger are free to do so. But, if you criticize him, while giving others a pass for doing the same thing, then you are far from objective.

My policy is not to decide whether an athlete is injured, or faking it.

Anybody who has had back issues knows that there are days when walking is hard. It can feel infinitely better in days, especially with exceptional medical care. The back is a tricky thing.

McIlroy took way more heat for his WD last year than Tiger did last week.

No one has had more back issues than me and I can tell you without a doubt that he's a huge puss. He has nothing but soft tissue back problems and if his back was really bothering him he would barely be able to swing a club, let alone par 3 straight holes with monster drives right before quitting.

Tiger doesn't know what real back problems are. Have him come talk to me when his back is so bad his caddy has to tee the ball up for him cause he can't bend over that far. Or when he can't mark his ball on the green cause he can't reach that far down.

I have had disc issues for 15 years before last minor surgery. There were days or weeks I could golf and others where I could hardly walk or get into a car at all.

yea and those days where you could hardly walk I doubt you could blast perfect drives down the middle of the fairway.

On top of that, you had disc issue that required surgery. That's a REAL back problem, much worse than someone with soft tissue issues and muscle spasms.

McIlroy just walked off the course without saying anything to his playing partners. As he was leaving the course, he told reporters that he "wasn't in a good place mentally right now". A couple hours later, his story changed on twitter, where he mentioned the tooth.

Guys WD all the time. This was only the 6th time that Tiger has done it. Arnold Palmer WD'd 14 times by the time he was 38.

Damn I hate when they have to finish up round 1 on day 2. I always miss the roster deadline. Now I'm stuck with Kuchar on my bench and Scott in my starting lineup. Other than that, looking real good with Dustin and Rory starting in group B and English starting in group C.

This tournament is awesome! Today was hilarious, love watching the pros look like mortals. Never seen so many balls go in the water. The course is ridiculous, those greens are a joke. Love watching people hit the green only to have it roll off the back edge and down a hill into the water.

On the fantasy side, my team is looking solid. Kuchar, Scott, DJ, McElroy, Kirk, English. Basically dominating the first two pages of the leaderboard.

Big dummy Pittmike learns yet another thing about this league I should have know a couple weeks ago. If you have a guy missing cut you can replace him with bench player before the deadline for start of sat round.

I've got my picks in, hoping to rebound from last week when I skyrocketed to first place after day 2 and was back down in 3rd after day 4.

Real exciting tournament this past weekend, especially the finish yesterday. Sendon stepped up big time at the end, chipped in for birdie on 16 and then rolled in a 30 footer for birdie on 17. Almost did it again on 18.

As for our fantasy league, very tight as 7 points separate 1st and 3rd place.

I'm in fourth place, only 25 points back, after finishing T2 last week, and 2nd this week.

We are starting to see some separation.
