Mike Bell
Ahmad Bradshaw
Drew Brees
Lee Evans
Brett Favre
Vincent Jackson
Rashard Mendenhall
Evan Moore
Jonathan Stewart
Chester Taylor
LaDainian Tomlinson
Reggie Wayne
Jason Witten

Here is the squad from last year - can keep only 3 players - only 1 can be a RB.

Here is what I'm thinking:
Brees
Wayne
Stewart/Tomlinson/Mendenhall (can't decide which one)

What would you do?

Seriously? Mendenhall. You don't even have to think about it now. Good luck.

Brees and Wayne are musts, IMO. My 3rd would be Mendies.

Exactly. He said the others weren't in question. How many teams are in your league?

You have an awesome start for a 12 team league. Stewart still has Williams and that constant Achilles issue. Mendenhall should be the back this year.

I have the 8th pick of the draft - you start 1 QB, 2 WR, 2RB, Flex (WR/RB) TE.

Not sure who everyone is keeping - which direction would you go in with the first pick?

This is a no brainer. Mendenhall will get a lot more carries than Stewart or LT. The only question with Mendenhall is whether he will get the goal line carries or not.

Agreed. Stewart will share more carries than Rashard will.

It's between those 2 IMO, but it's not close.

To quote every NFL GM, bullshit or not, best available. You'll have QB, RB1, and WR1 covered. I would have to see what is available to give any further insight.

Brees, Wayne and Mendenhall and thats easy. With your first pick you may have to reinvest in Witten if there isn't a WR or RB worth taking at that point.

Will Greene stay healthy?? LT has looked really good again and the Jets will run the shit out of the ball again this year.

Mendenhall scares me for some reason.

Stewart is the goal line back...12 TDs last year.

Keepers aren't used for backups and split time guys IMO. They have to be starters and number 1's. You cann say something negative about every guy in the league if you really tried. A guy like Stephen Jackson is supposed to go in the top 8 or so and I don't like him because he will be the defenses key every week.

Really...I almost kept him. He had a great finish to the year - I like what people are saying about him too...

Quote:
Look at Stewart's 2009 numbers. Now look at the '09 numbers of DeAngelo Williams. See anything similar? Stewart had five more carries and 16 more yards. In other words, their outputs were nearly identical. The Panthers' duo features differing styles -- Williams is ankle-breakingly elusive, Stewart is more of a punisher -- but behind one of the league's better offensive lines, they're equally scary. Both guys are coming off surgery this winter, and we tend to think Stewart's Achilles injury was more serious because it seems to have lingered for two years. But assuming everyone's healthy, we're looking at the ultimate committee, where each guy is startable in 10-team leagues, and each guy has weeks when he looks statistically dominant but then seems to fade into the background the very next game. Still, with Matt Moore under center in Carolina, expect the Panthers to run more than they pass for the third straight season.",
