Manning was taken 8th so I didnt get a chance to draft him in the 2nd Round.

1. (7) Ray Rice RB
2. (10) Matt Schaub QB
3. (23) Miles Austin WR
4. (26) Roddy White WR

Admittedly, I don't know shit about football but it does look kind of bad.

Like the top 5 guys. Stewart is also a stud. Crabtree could be a breakout. I think you'll end up starting Orton as your QB2, but Kolb has some good receivers so who knows. Aromashodu a good sleeper.

For an 8 team league I would think you could do a little better than that

Like Schaub but your other QB's I'm not to found of

Im high on Kolb and I think he will be better than you think. I thought drating Orton so late was a steal. By the time it got back to me in the 3rd round Brady, Romo,Rivers, were all taken. Ill have to show you the rosters some of these guys have and you will think otherwise.

I think I would have taken Brady or Rivers over Schaub, but he'll put up numbers.

I like the team. Forsett was a steal that late especially with a point per reception and Kolb is going to be a stud. I really don't like having Roddy White. He puts up his numbers in 4 or 5 big games and is average in the rest. Thats a lot of players that you guys start though. I had a draft for my main league Friday and didn't know about it until about 7 hours earlier. The layout is a little more standard than yours. 1 QB, 2 RBS, 2 WRS, 1 Flex, 1 TE, 1 K, and 2 defensive players. We have 12 teams and I got the 11th pick. This is what I ended up with

1st- Drew Brees-Had to at that point.
2nd-Ryan Mathews
3rd-Dallas Clark-Best overall reciever and TE available then
4th- McCoy
5th- Houshmanzadeh-Consistent every year
6th- Reggie Bush-Point per reception makes Bush in this league
7th- Santana Moss-McNabb made DeSean Jackson better and I think Moss is same type
8th- Cadillac Williams
9th- Steve Slaton-Point per reception
10th- Kolb
11th- Lee Evans-A #1 this late, I couldnt pass him up
12th-Montario Hardesty-They say he may take the starting role
13th-Jacoby Jones- Has a chance to beat out Kevin Walter for 2nd WR on a huge passing team
14th- James Jones- Same thinking as Jacoby. He may end up 3rd WR
15th Mohammed Massoquoi-
16th- Devin Thomas- Long shot but Mcnabb might click with him

I always waiy until after the draft to pick up my defensive players and kicker. I'm back to back champ coming into this year but I don't like my team as much this year. I am going to have to drop one player as well. Any opinions?

You picked my guy Nicks! I have been high on him since he came out of NC. He has a chance to be great. I love the Giants WR's...3 big guys who play long & can go up & get the ball.

I think having McNabb throw to Moss could elevate him greatly. Very solid draft for having the 11th pick.

As for who to drop........... I would say wait a little later til the season starts and try and just watch the waiver wires.

Your Qbs are solid and you got a top 3 TE. You hands down have the best 2 RB's and I dont even have to see what anyone else has. Your WR scare me. Jacoby Jones could be good but the jury is still out. Moss hopefully could be more consistent with a better option at QB. TJ needs to step it up after last year, and a healthy QB this year might help him out.

Damn just saw you had Colston too. Not bad having the Number one WR on the team with the BEST QB in the league. Very solid.

I need to know how many teams there are before I can critique. I'm guessing only 8.

It appears you are in an 8 team league or drafted with idiots. Looks very stacked.

If you look at the format of his league then you'll see its not ordinary. 2 starting Qb's put them at higher demand. He said Rodgers and Brees went 3 and 4. I haven't heard this anywhere else.

I fucked up on the ordering I put the guys in in the computer I guess. I actually got Ray Rice with the 6th pick. Still I was shocked because I said after the year he had last year and what he showed in the playoffs he should have been the 2nd pick maybe 3rd behind MJD. And yes Tmurph was right, QBs are in high demand in my league. In the top ten in points last year I believe 6 were QBs in my league. So yeah, you kinda have to draft different in this league.(6pts per passing TD helps).

Some ass-clown in my league just offered me Greg Jennings for Ryan Mathews. He was picked after I picked Mathews idiot. If I wanted him I would have taken him then.

Had my work fantasy football league draft tonight on yahoo and it went a little something like this for me.. I had the 7th pick which I didnt care for but Gore was there and I was able to get Ryan Matthews on the way back. Some douchebag text me to ask if Welker was healthy. Start 1 qb, 2WR,2RB 1wr/rb flex TE kicker defense.

1. (7) Frank Gore RB
2. (14) Ryan Mathews RB
3. (27) Miles Austin WR

i totally understand the expectations for ryan mathews, and agree that he has an upside for sure, but i cant help be a bit surprised by how early he is going in some drafts. i dont tend to draft a lot of rookies in starting positions and dont fault those who do, but i steered clear of him just because it seems there is almost TOO much of a buzz around him, it almost seems unrealistic. i would have taken a chance on him in say the 3rd round, but there is no way he is going that late in any draft.

im pleased with getting arian foster as my 12th round pick in my draft 2 weeks ago, when he was still a "sleeper". now he is going in the 4th and 5th rounds in most drafts. sometimes drafting early has its benefits.

for those who give a shit what other people drafted:

14 team, non-ppr

QB - eli manning, jason campbell
RB - deangelo williams, shonn greene, beanie wells, arian foster, justin forsett
WR - michael crabtree, jeremy maclin, johnny knox, lee evans, mike thomas
TE - heath miller, kevin boss
Def - cleveland
K - robbie gould

Had my work fantasy football league draft tonight on yahoo and it went a little something like this for me.. I had the 7th pick which I didnt care for but Gore was there and I was able to get Ryan Matthews on the way back. Some douchebag text me to ask if Welker was healthy. I told him no so I had to grab him earlier than I wanted to in the 5th but still

Start 1 qb, 2WR,2RB 1wr/rb flex TE kicker defense.

1. (7) Frank Gore RB
2. (14) Ryan Mathews RB
3. (27) Miles Austin WR
4. (34) Cedric Benson RB
5. (47) Wes Welker WR
6. (54) Hakeem Nicks WR
7. (67) Eli Manning QB
8. (74) Visanthe Shiancoe TE
9. (87) Santana Moss WR
10. (94) Jerome Harrison RB
11. (107) Donovan McNabb QB
12. (114) Owen Daniels TE
13. (127) Tim Hightower RB
14. (134) New Orleans DEF
15. (147) Rian Lindell K

Starting line-up

Eli Manning
Frank Gore
Ryan Mathews
Wes Welker
Miles Austin
Shiancoe
Ced Ben

Awesome.

in my league, julian edelman is still available which is amazing to me in a 14 team league. i just dont know who to dump to get a guy who needs an injury to get substantial fantasy value. im not sure i want to stash him and wait for welker to get hurt.

i totally understand the expectations for ryan mathews, and agree that he has an upside for sure, but i cant help be a bit surprised by how early he is going in some drafts. i dont tend to draft a lot of rookies in starting positions and dont fault those who do, but i steered clear of him just because it seems there is almost TOO much of a buzz around him, it almost seems unrealistic. i would have taken a chance on him in say the 3rd round, but there is no way he is going that late in any draft.

im pleased with getting arian foster as my 12th round pick in my draft 2 weeks ago, when he was still a "sleeper". now he is going in the 4th and 5th rounds in most drafts. sometimes drafting early has its benefits.

for those who give a shit what other people drafted:

14 team, non-ppr

QB - eli manning, jason campbell
RB - deangelo williams, shonn greene, beanie wells, arian foster, justin forsett
WR - michael crabtree, jeremy maclin, johnny knox, lee evans, mike thomas
TE - heath miller, kevin boss
Def - cleveland
K - robbie gould

I love hearing about peoples draft so this thread wasnt really just supposed to be my teams. Everyone that cares to share can post it here. Very solid team for a 14 team league.

thanks, im pleased with the RB depth (my rbs killed me last year). may do some wheeling and dealing for a WR upgrade, a little to many "maybes" and "could bes" with that group, but overall it could be ok.
