Yea that's a rule I try to live by... Come away with the best player in the deal and it was probably a good one.

I put Jackson on the trading block, and he first offered Stewart straight up. Of course, I rejected that, and he accepted my counter offer.

Hijacking a perfectly fine thread so as to not make another inane one ... which duo would you rather have ....

Marques Colston (WR) / Germichael Finley (TE)

Jonathan Stewart (RB) / Jason Whitten (TE) (who appears to be perfectly fine)

Really ... okay ... that's good I guess. That's who I already have ... I just think I need a better 3rd (alright, 2nd) receiver and at this point I'm more comfortable playing Cedric & Jackson @ RB leaving Stewart on the bench.

(Rec options: Andre Johnson TO, Derrick Mason, Legedu Naanee ... if my waiver goes thru, I'll lose Dexter McCluster for Devin Hester, but I'm not betting on that going thru).

Don't I get some credit for getting Legedu Naanee right?

I'll give you half a point, but the Bears just played Witten yesterday... I hope you didn't get a concussion as well. :)

Ah, but I missed most of the game (and chat) due to an afternoon gig. So there.

My options at receiver are as follows:

Housh
Santana Moss
Jacoby Jones
James Jones

Pretty thin. Someone offered me Mike Sims-Walker for Kolb. Housh is going to my bench until he starts producing. I would probably fill in with Jacoby Jones unless anyone thinks this is a good trade.

I would roll with Moss. McNabb has been looking to him early and often.

I would start Moss every week, and go with whoever has the best matchup for my 2nd wr.

OK. :D

I have the Moss thing down pat. What I was asking originally was if I should trade Kolb for Sims-Walker and plug him in or if Jacoby Jones or James Jones would suffice. Drew Brees is my starter BTW

Start McFadden and Harrison. Turner got dinged up this week and LT is taking carries and field-time away from Greene.

Yeah McFadden is locked in

Its Harrison or Turner

But I mean I need to trade one or two of these guys.

I dont think McFadden keeps it up, plus the Raiders are awful. I would trade him while his stock is high and hope that the other guys play up to their potential.

Even though Jennings has been a disappointment thus far, I would have made this deal too. I believe the Packers will acquire another RB, either Marshawn Lynch of Brandon Jacobs, & Jacksons value will plummet. As for Crabtree, I cut him from a team yesterday. I cant win with him! I dont like Stewart but if you have DeAngelo, ok.

I think I'm going to have to agree, pending what one gets offered for McFadden.

I would rather have Colston and Finley. Jermichael Finley may well have the best numbers out of all TE's this season, if his knee holds up. Colston is a very good and pretty consistently productive WR, so you can put him in your lineup and count on him. Stewart was one of the most productive RB's down the stretch last season, but it's hard to know whether he or DeAngelo will carry the load that week. Witten (no H) has been a very consistent producer, and will likely be one this season too. But I think Finley will have the bigger season.

You see how the Bills played Lynch more in the game VS the Packers. I figured it was a showcasing of Lynch, hoping to further entice the Packers to make a move for him. It would make sense for both teams.

Marshawn Lynch was named the starting RB for the Bills this week.

Thats curious....There was a rift between Lynch and the coaching staff last season as well as Management. I thought thats why they drafted Spiller. Lynch should still have several good years left, I just figured they would be with another team. Probably bad news for Lynch. In Green Bay, he would have had a far superior line/team to play with.
