In my 10 team PPR league I'm trying to make a trade with a buddy of mine. He proposed that I give him RG3 and Wallace for Spiller and Maclin. My goal is to improve my RB situation since I wasted my first round pick on Chris Johnson. But, I think I would rather get rid of Eli as opposed to RG3. And I don't see why I should add Wallace to get Maclin.

So, here are our rosters...any suggestions for a possible trade?

My team:

QB: RG3
RB: MJD
RB: Alf Morris
WR: Wallace
WR: Nicks
WR: T. Smith
TE: Gonzo
K: Prater
D: Detroit
BENCH:
Eli
Chris Johnson
Deangelo Williams
Decker
Kendall Hunter
Cecil Shorts
Andrew Hawkins
Stephen Hill

His team:
QB: Flaco
RB: McCoy
RB: AP
WR: Nelson
WR: Amedela
WR: Nate Washington
TE: Fleener
K: Walsh
D: Jets
BENCH:
Spiller
Sproles
Ryan Matthews
Ced Benson
Maclin
Ingram
Rapesburger
Dwyer

So, what should I offer? He obviously has tons of RB depth and is terrible everywhere else. Is Spiller going to continue his pace or is he just benefiting from playing vs some bad teams? Do I have to worry about him losing his job when Jackson comes back?

I doubt he would want any part of that since he has no need for CJ.

I gave up on him after week 1. Benched him for Morris this week.

I also have RG3 in two of my leagues, and I have successfully unloaded him now in one. Any advice I have seen or read regarding his value is to sell high, and unless he goes crazy against Cincy this week, his trade value won't be much higher than it is now.

I say do whatever you can to unload RG3 in return for Mathews or Sproles, especially in a PPR league.

I'm not so sure about that Doug. I know Fred Jackson is a damn fine back but if Spiller keeps producing like he did in week 1 and 2 for the next few weeks(which would be fantasy God like) how are you going to justify taking him out?

Spiller isn't going away any time soon. Fred or no Fred.

If you are giving up Wallace I would shoot higher with Matthews. Or if you can weasel in a way to get Spiller or Matthews and Sproles he's a PPR machine.

Giving up Wallace is gonna leave you thin at WR.

things are heating up and changing directions in our trade talks. Here is the latest proposal..

He wants RG3 and Wallace in exchange for McCoy and Amedola.

I countered with Eli and Wallace for the same package, but he wants RG3 so I told him he can have RG3 but not Wallace too and instead must choose between Torey Smith or Decker.

What do you think? Its PPR so Amendola could end up being a beast. Really dont want to give up RG3, but Eli is a safer play anyway going forward and I'll have friggen McCoy!

Now he's offering me McCoy straight up for RG3.

I'm going to suggest you go with whatever you were thinking about. Because you're going to come back and say you're smarter, and not take advice. Good luck.

I pulled the trigger and made the deal.

Next step is I'm gonna see if I can unload some of my RB depth for a WR upgrade.

What deal did you settle on? If you got McCoy straight up for RG3, then you made out like a bandit.

yep, got McCoy straight up for RG3. I'm not sure I made out like a bandit though, RG3 is the #1 ranked player in FF after 2 weeks and McCoy is #63. Not that those will stay that way, but I think RG3 has a legit shot at being the #1 QB this year. But, I have Eli too so I can afford to lose the #1 QB in order to improve my RB situation. McCoy and MJD makes me a lot more comfortable than MJD and Morris/CJ/DeAngelo.

And now I can try and trade some of that RB depth to improve my WR#3 situation (T.Smith/Decker/Hawkins)

WAY too much love for RGIII going on in fantasy right now. He's the #1 guy after two weeks, that is a fact. But a lot of that is due to every single one of the "premier" QB's having at least 1 bad week out of the 2. He will come back to Earth.

shakes, you made out like a bandit. You just traded a guy that wasn't drafted at all in a lot of leagues for a guy that was probably a top-5 pick in most leagues. And it only took two weeks.

I hope people don't really look at fantasy rankings after two weeks, do they? If so, I need to trade more.....now.

Matt Cassell is available for free in 85% of yahoo leagues right now. He is "ranked" ahead of:
-Rodgers
-Brady
-Stafford
-Rivers
-Romo
-Roethlisberger

and on, and on.....

Carson Palmer is available in most leagues too. He's ahead of all of those guys too.

I wonder if the same was said of Cam Newton last year?

Maybe. That has nothing to do with RG III's season though.

Through two games:

Newton (2011)
854 yds passing
3 TD
4 INT
71 yds rushing
2 TD

RG III (2012)
526 yds passing
3 TD
1 INT
124 yds rushing
2 TD

I agree that getting McCoy for RG3 is a steal.

That being said I RG3 will finish the year with the most fantasy points and I'll go on to come from behind and win the secret league.

Any price. I'm not even sure he'll finish the year period.

I don't concern myself with bye weeks or the possibility of injury, especially at QB.

that said, there are QBs available on the wire, I put a claim in for Bradford and Cassel is still out there as well.

The guy in last place has Arian Foster, Can newton and not much else. I just emailed him and offered him any two RBs on my team aside from McCoy (MJD, CJ, Morris, Williams) and any WR on my team (Wallace or Nicks) in exchage for Foster and Welker.

I also offered him a seperate deal of just Foster for the 2 RBs and Torey Smith.

I would prefer option 2, but he's probably going to want the upgrade at WR. With Welker sitting on his bench I'm guessing I might be able to buy low on him now and then ride out the year with a WR unit of Welker-Nicks-Smith-Decker-Hawkins to go along side the pretty impressive backfield of Foster-McCoy

Somebody offered me this trade, I pretty much have to take it, right (PPR)?

I would give up:
F. Gore (SF/RB)
M. Floyd (SD/WR)
D. Pitta (BAL/TE)

I would get:
A. Rodgers (GB/QB)
A. Morris (WAS/RB)
S. Smith (CAR/WR)

If that is in our league, somebody is not very smart or you are splitting the winnings.
