PPR is pretty stupid when you think about it. 8 rec/42 yards should be 4 points, not 12.2.

Really, that amount of catches and yardage should be worth more than two TD's??

agree that PPR is pretty inequitable, half point PPR makes much more sense. I don't really have a problem with TD's being minimalized a bit in favor of quantity of catches.

TD's should be the most valuable single event in any fantasy league, IMO. The object of football is to score more points than your opponent, not catch as many 2-3 yard passes as possible.

This goes for leagues that count long FG's as 6 points too. That's stupid.

You're taking things to the extreme and although I agree that PPR is weighted too strongly towards catches, going the other way and just emphasizing TD's is an even worse system. IMO, the enjoyment of FF comes from watching the games and seeing your guys get you points. If you go your way you might as well just check the box score after every game and only look at who scored.

Also, 8 catches for 42 yards is a pretty rare and unusual score line. Just as rare as your other example, 2 catches for less than 10 yards and 2 TDs. Usually you have something in the middle which makes things appear more balanced.

Tough one, but I would go with the Giants cause they're at home and vs a more inexperienced QB than Arizona is, albeit not by much.

i wouldnt TOUCH new yorks defense. they lost yet another DB last week and they are running guys out there i have never heard of, and i follow that team pretty closely. and they have played like shit at home as well, so i wouldnt put playing at home as a positive for this group. i think AZ is the slam dunk call on this one.

Thanks, all. I'm going with Arizona.

And MOFO, I'm a Casey's pizza fan as well. Usually grab a slice on the 4-hour drive to see my family.

I just thought about the issues the Ravens had in the 2nd half. Wheeden started dealing a bit. I think this could be a very weird game...you might just see a Cleveland victory if Eli is throwing INTs early.

Just made the following trade in my 10 team PPR league....

I sent Mike Wallace and Chris Johnson and I got back Roddy White and Ryan Matthews.

Seems pretty even, but I think I get the slight edge. Especially when you factor in CJ's schedule the next few weeks (CHI, @MIA, bye) vs Matthews schedule (KC tomororw, done with bye). With MJD hurt I am left with McCoy, Morris and CJ so I like adding to my RB depth.

As for the WR, I have not been happy with Wallace. He gets lots of targets, but he hasn't found the endzone in a while and seems to top out at about 7 catches for 70 yards. I know White will be inconsistent in terms of TDs given the players on his team, but he seems to go off every other week. I consider him a slight upgrade or wash vs Wallace.

You got quite a haul, Shakes. You win that one.

Yesterday I traded away Megatron and Turner for Richardson and Steve Smith. Hated giving up my #1 pick, but I still have Andre Johnson, Julio, Cobb, and now Smith. He and Richardson both have great matchups this weekend. I'm hoping when (or if) Megatron turns it around, my trade partner will be buried so far down in the standings it won't matter.

What was your RB situation before the trade?

I had R-Bush, Ridley, and Turner. Usually played only two of those and used Julio as my flex (Can start 2 RB, 2 WR, and 1 RB/WR/TE).

Definitely like the trade even more now, you needed the boost at RB.

As for Megaturd, I don't know if he's going to get better, he said his knee is all fucked up, but that he's not using it as an excuse (as he was using it as an excuse)

No, don't listen to Hank.

Smith is up against the second worst pass defense in the league. Andre is up against another terrible D in Buffalo, howerver you really need to be concerned about the blowout potential and Houston going exclusivily on the ground for much of that game. With Jennings and possibly Nelson out, Cobb looks like a really good play. Julio is up against a very tough pass defense who just made Victor Cruz and Hakeen Nicks look pretty useless.

Wow, you got a really tough choice there. Honestly, I would rank Smith and Cobb ahead of Julio and Andre this weekend. Yahoo agrees as they have them ranked Smith, Cobb, Julio, Andre.

It really comes down to what worries you more, Dallas pass defense or Buffalo's last ranked run defense. Could be all Foster in Houston this weekend.

Given your choices I would make the tough decision to sit Andre with the tipping factor being that Julio is the better player. (and yes Lipid, this doesn't change the fact that you were dumb to sit andre a couple weeks ago)

Andre. The Texans will most likely be pounding the ball in the second half.

Or Steve Smith because the Panthers are a mess.

I've seen the Redskins secondary. I believe Smith will score the most points of the four listed.

Any team's #1 WR is a top WR and must play the week they are playing Washington.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/week-9-ran ... EWkwq5bZ8u

Yahoo experts have him ranked #9, ahead of any of the other WRs in this discussion.

Here is what opposing receivers have done vs Washington:

week 1: Moore (120, td), Graham (85, td),
week 2: Amendola (160, td)
week 3: Green (183, td)
week 4: Jackson (100, td), Williams (115)
week 5: Gonzo (123, td), Julio (94, td)
week 6: Harvin (133)
week 7: Cruz (131, td)
week 8: wallace (62)

At least 115 yards to a receiver in every game except one. 3 games where 2 receivers went off.

Still think Smith isn't a must play?

Given his group of recievers, yes I would still lean towards benching him because the situation in Carolina is a mess. I dont think he can go wrong this week truthfully.

I just like how far you have backed off your position in your haste to judge Lipid.

Well, it is stupid to ever bench Andre Johnson......unless I say it's OK because yahoo gave me some stats to back it up.
