A. Rodgers (GB/QB)

Take that deal before that person changes their mind.

That trade isn't as lopsided as others are suggesting. Gore has played well and so has Pitta. Floyd and Smith are a wash. I like Morris, but he's one fumble or bad game away from being benched. Plus, in PPR he's pretty useless with only 1 target all season.

Who is your QB now, that's the key information you should've put in your original post. is you QB so bad that you don't mind losing the quality at RB you have in Gore in order to improve at QB? If not, then this isn't that good a deal for you. If you already have a top 10 QB you don't need Rogers at the expense of Gore.

No it's commissioner vote only. Since Spanky and I are both commissioners I had to allow this trade or veto it.

The answer to your question shakes is Stafford and Big Ben. Now spanky has 3 good (2 top 5) qbs in a 1 qb start league.

If Spankys team wasn't so all around shitty I would say there was collusion going on.

Ahhh....key question, shakes.

I already have Stafford and Roethlisberger. I wasn't desperate at the QB position by any means. RB is probably (still) my thinnest overall position.

I think some people are way overvaluing Morris and Smith. Like shakes said, it's a PPR league and Morris has 1 target all year. The two WR's are a wash too.

Somehow you fail to grasp what this actually means. This supports my side of this - shakes is trying to explain that to you.

Um....you have two good TE's. We only start 1. You have lots of RB's and WR's on your bench but not enough starting spots.

Sometimes I think you don't think before you type.

Actually smart guy we could start 2 TE's in our league(one in the flex). Gates has been injured basically since week 1 and hasn't done much the two weeks he's played. I picked up Bennett for insurance though. There's a difference between having quality backups when you start 2 WR..possibly 3 with a flex. I know you're trying to swing this to make it sound like you didn't totally rape your buddy in the trade, but you did.

I also told you via text that I would have done the trade even if I had Brees/Brady.

then I think its a pretty terrible deal for you. Both Stafford and Big Ben are more than good enough QBs, especially with Pitts horrible rushing game. Big Ben is on pace for something like 675 passes this season, his previous career high is around 550. If you're thin at RB then it would be really dumb to trade away Gore and get Morris in return.

As for piling up assets to trade, look how many QBs are doing well this year. You might have a hard time finding someone desperate for QB help, but deep at RB in order to cash in on those assets.

Anyone saying this is a veto-able trade is clueless.

Need some more trade advice. Just found this trade offer in my mailbox in my 10 team PPR league where I'm 3-1 and cruising. Here's the offer....

I give up:
Chris Johnson
Torrey Smith

I get:
Julio Jones
Antonio Gates
Tashard Chance
Kevin Walters

so basically its Johnson and Smith for Julio Jones since I consider Gates, Chance and Walters to be throw ins.

As for my roster, at RB I have MJD, McCoy, Chris Johnson, Alfred Morris, Deangelo Williams, Kendall Hunter. We start 2, no flex.

At WR I have Wallace, Nicks, Torrey Smith, Hartline, Andre Hawkins, Decker

At TE I have Gonzalez

So what do you think? Jones had a terrible game today dropping balls and there's rumors that his hand injury is worse than they are lettin on. But, I think it was just a laceration so how bad could it be? If it was really serious and he severed tendons I would think that's not something you can hide and play with.

CJ woke up today and had a big game. Is he back? He has a really tough schedule coming up in the next few weeks so I may not get another chance to unload him.

But, on the other hand, do I want to sacrifice my depth at RB for a WR that might be hurt. And looking at my WR core, aside from Nicks' nagging injury I have a pretty sweet WR unit as it is.

If I was gonna do trade I would insist that he take Walters and Chance out since they aren't good enough to make my roster. I don't think Gates is good enough to make my roster either.

You'd be getting an upgrade at the WR spot for sure, but you have a serviceable TE already.

This is not a bad deal but it's not earth-shattering either way.

Okay, I would, but I wouldn't give him up in that deal. Chris Johnson has nowhere to go but up, and Torrey Smith is the real deal.

edit: To make this clearer; Torrey Smith is a superior fantasy option to Julio Jones, especially in a PPR league (where Julio Jones will always lose targets [read: receptions] to Roddy White.)

I tend to feel the same way on the deal, but I wonder if Smith is the real deal or if he just spiked this week because his brother died? Week 1 and 2 he put up pedestrial WR4 numbers.

As for CJ, I don't agree he has nowhere to go but up. He had a great game this weekend which is probably why I got the offer, but if he gets shut down again next week I could see the offer getting pulled. This might be the only week I can get any value off of CJ for the rest of the season.

What if I try and make it a 1 for 1, CJ straight up for Julio?

Or am I just being redundant at that point with my WR unit which is already really strong in a PPR league? Should I be worried about Nick's foot being a season long issue?

So before I could even respond to the guy he went ahead and traded Jones and Gates for Bensen and Nate Washington. That's a terrible trade for him, right? The offer he gave me seems to be about 10x better for him.

Reggie Wayne for Alfred Morris...should I do it? I'm trying to pick up Battle and drop Pierre, but I'm 6th in waivers.

My Team:
Manning, Eli
Jones-Drew, Maurice
Cruz, Victor
Thomas, Demaryius
Bush, Reggie
Daniels, Owen
Packers
Gould, Robbie
Bench:
Tannehill, Ryan
Thomas, Daniel
Thomas, Pierre
Jeffery, Alshon
Wayne, Reggie
Witten, Jason
Chargers
Vinatieri, Adam

His Team:
Griffin III, Robert
McCoy, LeSean
Garcon, Pierre
Jones, Julio
Morris, Alfred
Gates, Antonio
Lions
Crosby, Mason

Bench:
Luck, Andrew
Mathews, Ryan
Ridley, Stevan
Bryant, Dez
Hill, Stephen
Cook, Jared
Redskins
Scobee, Josh

This would pretty much kill my WR core...so, maybe I bundle Pierre Thomas and grab Stephen Hill from him? I'm leaning towards no, especially if I am able to land Battle.

you people really need to give more info when asking for trade advice. Is it PPR or not cause that makes a big difference when talking about those two players.

then I wouldn't make that trade. Although you are definitely thin at RB, trading Wayne for Morris is bad value, especially in a PPR. Morris gets no targets whereas Wayne is having a monster season. If you are deadset on trading Wayne for an RB you should set your sights on someone who is good enough to start for you as opposed to Morris, who wouldn't crack your lineup over MJD and Bush.

A better move would be to package Wayne and Bush and try and get a stud RB and a bench worthy WR.

PPR is pretty stupid when you think about it. 8 rec/42 yards should be 4 points, not 12.2.

Really, that amount of catches and yardage should be worth more than two TD's??

we use 0.5 per catch. evens those numbers out quite well.

Ah, well, that would be a little better. That would still be 8.2 its. That's still more more than a TD.

Is your league called a HPPR league?
