hey darko, would you or anyone else here be up to join my 5x5 roto league? i've got some slots open since a few people who i got to join last year decided roto wasn't their thing, and with nas/hova seemingly out despite my getting rid of the guy who he wanted gone (taking someone else with him) i'm at 7/12 right now and it's a bit errrrghhhh cuz i tend to like a life devoid of responsibility.

altho, now i realize this is about football and i prolly should make my own proper thread for my league. my bad on the poachery.

Maybe. I don't know if I've got time in the fall for a full on fantasy team though... Fall is busy as hell and I'll be working a lot of hours... so lately I stuck to the pick em leagues just to make it easy.

Oh, I meant a baseball league that drafts in a few weeks. Other than the actual draft, which is Sunday the 24th at like ~2-3pm or something, the most time consuming thing is setting up your daily lineups and/or patrolling the waiver wires for pickups/drops. There's a handy android/iphone app that makes the lineup thing a snap, altho i'd personally recommend using the actual website for the waiver wire stuff.

Roto is where you have your team out there everyday (altho there's 162 game limits for all of your individual positions) and the stats accumulate all year, so if there's 12 teams in teh league, whoever has teh highest BA gets 12 points down to the lowest being 1pt, and then same goes for HR/RBI/R/SB, pitching categories are ERA/WHIP/W/SV/K, with ERA and WHIP (walks + hits / innings pitched) having the lowest get 12 and the highest get 1. at the end of the season whoever has teh most total points wins.

So yeah, technically it's a little more tedious than a football league on the surface where there's daily lineups and stuff, but by and large it's nowhere near as dramatic and mad rush OMFG IMPORTANT to make sure your lineup is 100.0% perfect because it's a weekly H2H matchup. granted there are fantasy leagues like that (nas/hova's league is that way, altho you just accumulate stats for a week and put them against your opponent doing the same) but this is roto, so by and large if you have productive players in the lineup everyday, you can pretty much let your team roll and micromanage stuff like injuries/days-off/benchings/etc. again, all of the lineup stuff is infinitely easier with the app.

You may be talking about my league, which was not officially sanctioned by the CSFMB. I will put it out there to the rest of the herd, and see what they think.
