If you are a golf fan, it is a lot of fun. It starts January 3rd, and runs through the Fed Ex playoffs.

If anybody has any questions as to how this works, I will be happy to answer them.

Do you draft or is it like the Nascar one?

I have no idea how the Nascar league works. There is no draft.

In the golf league, there are three pools of players (A, B, and C). B is made up of the most players. Each week, you select two golfers from A, four from B, and two from C. Each round, you will start one from A, two from B, and one from C. The golfer(s) with the lowest score in each round, will score 20 points for the round. Those that are one shot back get 18 points, and so on. You can switch your starters and bench players each round. You only get 10 starts with each golfer for the season. Whether you play him all four rounds, or just one, it counts as a start. There are weekly bonuses of 20 points for a 1st place finish, 10 points for a 2nd place finish, and 5 points for a third place finish.

Pretty good sized group playing this year. Get in your rosters soon if you haven't submitted. Also for the
newbies, remember you have bench players if your guy is tanking or WD's. You can't make changes
after 3rd round from what I remember. really makes you pay attention to the PGA Tour each week
which I haven't done in a while. Good luck guys.

WYCK: George, the qualifications for this scholarship were suppose to be.. largely academic.

GEORGE: I'm sure we're all aware of the flaws and biases of standardized tests..

WYCK: These aren't standardized tests - these are his grades.

GEORGE: Besides, Steven Koren has the highest of aspirations. He wants to be (pauses for effect) an architect.

WYCK: Is that right?

STEVEN: Actually, maybe I could set my sights a little bit higher.

GEORGE: (Laughs) Steven, nothing is higher than an architect.

STEVEN: I think I'd really like to be a city planner. (Sits down, addressing the entire foundation board) Why limit myself to just one building, when I can design a whole city?

WYCK: Well, that's a good point.

GEORGE: (Mutters) No, it's not.

STEVEN: Well, isn't an architect just an art school drop-out with a tilty desk, and a big ruler? (Laughs - so do the board members)

GEORGE: (Irritated) It's called a T-square.

WYCK: You know, the stupidest guy in my fraternity became an architect - after he flunked out of dental school! (Everyone but George laughs) Congratulations, young man. (Shakes Steven's hand)

STEVEN: Thank you.

WYCK: Susan would be proud of what you're doing.

STEVEN: Thank you.
