Drafted last night in my 10 team PPR lawyer league. Having never drafted above #8 that didn't change this year when I got #9. Don't really follow NFL anymore and did zero research other than watching the first episode of Hard Knocks. So, how bad is this....

QB: Can Newton
WR: Dez Bryant
WR: Maclin
RB: Leveon Bell
RB: Reggie Bush
Flex: Desean Jackson
TE: Jimmy Graham
Defense: Rams
Kicker: Novak

Bench:
Bishop Sankey
Andy Dalton
Fred Jackson
Khiry Robinson
Chris Ivory
CJ Anderson
Josh Morgan (yes I know he might be out all year, took him second to last pick).

So do I have a chance of finishing higher than my draft position?

Did you draft D. Thomas in the 1st round? Ballsy-ish.

3-0 to start the season. I guess my team isn't that bad after all.

That is a good team. Bench is a little thin. Make sure you sit Reggie Bush when the Lions play on grass.

Since the season started I dropped CJ Anderson and Josh Gordon and picked up Asiata and Andre Hawkins. Of course now it looks like Gordon is coming back, but I still like my team.

4-0 after another big week. Dez-Maclin-Graham is becoming a pretty lethal receiving corp for me.

A LAWYER LEAGUE, ultra impressive. does this mean each pick takes a day?

im fairly certain this team is screwed, even tho it's gonna fall to 2-2 after putting up 100 with a 0 from bernard pierce last week and is poised for an easy 90-100 (no PPR) this week depending on edelman

qb: brees (waiting on my 25-30ppg)
wr: marshall (injured with 1 dud and a 7.90. still a thoroughbred. get healthy)
wr: julian edelman (welker 2.0 baby)
rb: rashad jennings (16/8/25/......5.5? ok then)
rb: reggie bush (helped me win in 12 on a contract year in miami but he's gotta go)
te: larry donnell (finally pulled the plug on witten and got 3TD/23.40pts. and will lose)
flex W/R/T: hakeen nicks (10, 5, 10, so of course i got a 1.20 this week. the football gods smile upon me)
K: nick novak (nice 15 this week)
DEF: lions (dumped KC before tonight's game. whatever they had the first 1/2 or 2/3 of last year is over. lions got me 7 so i'm cool)

bench:

rb - bernard pierce (had always planned for ray rice to go down and he to be the #1 guy in baltimore. 22car96yds and then some odd injury and was supposedly active but not played at last second. ugh. so i have [drum roll])
rb - justin forsett (wish i started him over bush and took the ~16 yesterday but i would have thought pierce so no way possible)
te - jason witten (prolly 1-2 more good/breakout games from larry donnell and BYE DUDE. he's been on the decline for ~3yrs)
wr - larry fitzgerald (got tired of waiting for justin hunter, who yahoo kept assuring me was gonna break out. aybe check in later for free when locker's back and he has his first 7rec88yd game or something)

so yeah maybe the cheeky larry fitzgerald scoop up yesterday if carson palmer is coming back? tho maybe he was cut cuz CP isnt coming back.... but hey if there's a 10% chance CP shows up and he's 75% of old larry fitz at least when you're getting 1.2 flex from hakeem nicks and even if you can say "forsett will do me 8-16 per week" for awhile then i'd bet larry fitz has a better shot at 8+ per week than reggie bush, who might flare up with 2-3 15-25s this year, but the rest will be 0-6pt duds and i'd rather have ~8/week with healthy options of going 15+ and if larry fitz and CP hook up 100% i could end up with a free larry fitz. but i doubt it.

still tho, i won a league last year with eddie lacy and zac stacy as my playoff RBs and nobody drafted them early or was fully rocking them in week 4 i dont beiieve, so we'll see what happens

Did you start Donnell?

Nope

and it wouldnt have mattered

on top of the fact that my team isnt that good. Opponents have now scored 560 pts against me. Literally over 100 more than the next guy.

its over for the year

My league includes a losers bracket for a chance to win your entry fee back. That way everyone keeps trying through the end.

Should have kept Brown and picked up McKinnon instead of the losers you did pick up. Cut Cousins. No reason to keep an extra QB unless he is a top 5 QB. In which case, you would trade him for something useful.

I got outbid big time for McKinnon, and Brown is a dog.

He is a dog, but he is also the only dog left in San Diego which means he could be useful. A whole hell of a lot more useful than Louis Murphy.

I watched the last 2 games and Oliver completely outplayed Brown - it was like night and day.

Also, the head coach is gushing about Oliver, suggesting he will get the lion's share over Brown going forward.

Also, Murphy is just Mike Evans' handcuff, and he sucked up a lot of targets from Glennon.

You don't pick up WR handcuffs on the #2 WR on a team that sucks at throwing the ball.

5-0! Not only is team not bad, I'm starting to believe it might be pretty damn good. Did get a little lucky this week as I only scored 110 despite being predicted for 140. But, opponent came up well under his prediction too and had 105.

Big dark cloud is injury to Graham. Hoping the bye will be enough to get him right.

Did a little tinkering. Picked up TE Allen from Indy to play this week with NO on a bye and Graham hurt anyway. Had to drop Andre Hawkins unfortunately, but he hadn't made his way into my starting lineup yet and with Dez, Maclin and Desean ahead of him it wasn't looking like he would anytime soon.

Also grabbed Oliver off the wire. Dropped Reggie Bush. He's hurt and he's statistically the worst player on my team so far this season. Drafted him high, my lone draft day error, but time to cut bait. Went with Oliver over trying to get Williams out of NY. Hoping that is the right decision.

This week, I dropped Reggie Bush in a twelve team league.

I think I love to trade and tinker too much. My trades so far:

Traded Cruz for Crabtree - Unfortunate Win
Traded T. West for Golden Tate - Win
Traded Donnell (WW) for Mike Floyd - Incomplete
Traded Bradshaw (WW) & Tate for Ball - Loss

Thought I was selling high on a TD dependent Bradshaw and Tate who can't crack my lineup. Oh well, gamble didn't work.

Just traded Gio & P. Thomas for Forte in PPR.

My guy Bernard has been a rock but I think Trestman finally has discovered you feed Forte to win. Cutler will rack up yards but lose you the game.

5-1 :(

Had to come to an end. Did it to myself. Lost by 10 and would've won if I had kept DeSean in there instead of putting FJAX in. Also screwed up replacing Newton with Dalton, athough Dalton did have a good game and outscore Peyton Manning, my opponents QB.

Now with Graham out a while the wheels could come off really quick.
