If he is available in your league, I'd sign him right now. You may be starting him this weekend.

I drafted him late in two leagues, then released after the year suspension came out..

Picked him up in my third league though.

Great, so I have him in my 20 team keeper league and had no choice but to keep him. Decided to tank the entire season and build for next year assuming I wouldn't have my #1WR all season. So I traded away my QB and RB on draft day (Brady and Spiller) and drafted all rookies and sleepers.

And in my other league I drafted him very late and then dumped him when he lost the appeal and now I'm #2 in the waiver order.

So basically getting fucked by Gordon in every way imaginable.

Depending on who your current WR2 is you need to do this whether Gordon plays or not. If he plays you raped the guy. If he doesn't you only took advantage of him.

My aversion to WRs with weak or weakish QBs was upended last year with Gordon's domination. I still carry that aversion into this year despite Gordon's success. I'd take him but not for one of my high draft picks, unless that pick is a bust or projects to be a bust for some reason.

Definitely not this weekend. Even if the weed suspension is overturned, he is still facing two games for DWI.

I did pick him up in one of my leagues. I had the 4th waiver priority, and the first three guys, including my brother at #3, sat on their hands. If Gordon plays half the season, I am looking good. 12 team league (1/2 PPR).

QB - Brees
WR- Patterson
WR - Cooks
RB - Vereen
TE - Graham
W/R/T - Edelman
W/R/T - Sproles
BN - R. Bush
BN - Rivers
BN - P. Thomas
BN - Gordon
K - Walsh
DEF - Carolina

Reports were that would happen in November.

I think this Ray Rice situation probably put a hold on the negotiations for the drug policy. He'll probably get reinstated next week. I wonder if they'll consider his two game suspension for DWI served by missing the first two games of this season.

That would seem to be right, but with this NFL, who knows.

I used my 4th waiver priority on Gordon. Many people who lose in week one, panic and waste their waivers on bums, which is what happened here. I am currently in 8th wavier position, so I only slid down four spots, to pick up a game changer.

Prediction: Gordon comes back Week 4 and puts up his 2013 numbers again.

I have him on my fantasy team too

He will still be out a while. Multiple offender. Also got kicked out of college for it. At least 8 games.

He wouldn't be a multiple offender because his positive test this year wouldn't count.

His DUI would get him eventually though but that may end up being the two games to start this season which he probably is going to miss anyways.

It appears that his suspension will be cut to eight games.

The NFL is so illogical in these rulings.

We were incredibly stupid giving you 16 games, so let's make it 8 because that makes perfect sense!

I always felt David Stern got most punishment stuff right, and the timing of suspension rulings was also very reasonable. Baseball with the appeal process and football with this most recent abomination are way behind the nba.

oh so he's not starting this weekend? drat.

i took a flier on him in a few leagues where he was sitting there as a FA figuring that the worst case scenario was that my last roster spot is effectively useless for the week, with the best case scenario being "hey i got a free josh gordon!"

so if he's out for only 10 weeks now the ? remains do you try and sit on him for the whole 10 weeks (figuring that somebody else with a team good enough to stash him for the 10 weeks will reap the benefit) or do you assume he's going to be a luxury for most teams and therefore cut/dropped across most leagues so you can get him later?
