Started Rodgers and sat Eli. I know its the right call but still sucks to watch after Eli abortion of a game last week when I had to play him.

I lean Stafford. He can put up numbers against teams that don't put a ton of pressure on QBs, and Kansas City fits that bill.

Thanks Obama...

Can't win them all. Stafford did have 217 yards and a TD, so it wasn't a total loss.

Fitzpatrick could shit the bed.

Fitz is on the sidelines without a helmet.

I win again.

One bad week. If I draft him that early, I play him every week. Certainly over Stafford.

One of the keys to any regular fantasy success:
Play your studs, no matter the matchup. Don't out-think yourself.

That being said, when your studs crap the bed, you lose.

I agree with this philosophy...but in 1 league I started Rivers and benched ARod.

Rivers is an elite fantasy QB. I would give an edge to A-A-Ron, but not by much.

Rivers has been huge this year.

Ehhh.....that's not the whole story though. I agree that Rivers has put up good (garbage, often) numbers this year.

-BUT-

A huge part of what makes a player a "stud" on your team is where you drafted him.
A-a-ron (IS A-A-RON HERE!!??!?) had to be drafted in the top 2 rounds. If you weren't gonna play him every single week, then you drafted poorly.
Rivers was available way, way later. Skip Aaron and take a WR/RB, then get Rivers 6 or 7 rounds later.

My teams are so bad that one I had Eli on would of still lost by 25 and I have Gurley on that team.

Damn

Unless you played against Brees and OBJ, that's tough to do.

I said I would start A-A-Ron every week, just a few posts ago.

Most people don't have Rodgers and Rivers.

Went against Brady, Cooks, Hopkins and NE def.

My pile of shit at WR got me 5 points total Stevie Johnson Mike Wallace and Davonte Adams

I didn't draft aaron. I traded charles for him the week before he tore his ACL. But I don't think you should stubbornly stick by draft position for your lineup. Rodgers hasn't looked great for the better part of a month now. I'll didn't end up mattering a lot in the end, but I had big doubts about him given the matchup this week.

It's not about draft position, it's about taking one of the top two QBs in the league, rather than Stafford, who might get garbage time points.

I roll with my studs. I try not to overthink things.

Slight lean to AP. Ingram loses touches to Robinson.

Ended up going with Ingram. Didn't make a difference either way.

RB1 Gurley
RB2
WR1 Odell
WR2 Allen Robinson
RB/WR

For the two open spots, I have:
Lamar Miller @ BUF
DeAngelo Williams @ OAK
Bernard @ CLE
Cobb @ CAR
Mike Evans @ NYG
Malcolm Floyd @ CHI

Even though Cleveland has an abysmal run defense, I'm mainly choosing between Williams, Miller, and Evans, IMO. Leaning towards the two RBs. Non-PPR league.

Well, I have to choose at least one RB from that group. Also, I think Lamar Miller and Williams have a higher floor than Evans and Floyd do. Evans and Floyd each have exactly one good game all year long. They are high risk/high reward plays, IMO. I consider Miller and Williams more medium risk high reward.

Reading is a skill.

I would roll with Evans at Flex, and Williams at RB.

I have the same qbs. What are you doing this week.

Until last week the saints were running everything into the end zone. In leaning towards dalton but hard to pull the trigger.

Bernard, Matt Jones, Karlos Williams, or the other Washington back that's not Morris or Jones?

You have to roll with Brees, when they are in that dome.

I picked up Derek Carr today, who I will probably keep for the rest of the year. I'm hesitant to start Rodgers this week, but I am going to. After this he is on a real short leash. He just isn't putting up great numbers this year.

I have Dalton and Brees. It's close enough that I'm going with Dalton so it will give me a reason to watch this game tonight.
