E68: Hard Drive Error... It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it, This can also be caused by a Hard Drive Eprom Error. Some also believe this might be caused by a problem with the fans.

Yeah, just booted up fine without the hard drive...

...well that thing last a whole month...

Print up the label and ship it out tomorrow. They had mine back within about 2 weeks. Good as soon to be broken.

No, this is just one red light...that's for the three red lights, aka "Red Ring of Death"

This is a strange one...

So the Elite that wasn't working boots up without the hard drive...and also just booted up with the original 120GB...

The arcade boots up with the 250GB that I thought just died on me...this is fucked up...

So just as I got done packing the arcade away because I thought it was just a glitch, I get the lovely red light and E68 code again...

...time to troubleshoot this bitch.

http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/repair/Xbox-360-error-codes.htm

It also shows how to determine the secondary problem code.

Thanks DT.

I've finally seen some evidence that it is a bad hard drive...the arcade just crapped out with the 250GB on it...when I rebooted the first time, it listed the hard drive as unformatted...after another reboot it didn't detect it at all...

I almost would rather it had been the Elite going bad versus the hard drive...I had a lot of shit on there, and I just went through transferring everything over to it a month ago or so...

I'm due for something else to break .... I have great reservations about continuing to keep looking at this thread, let alone posting in it ... :)
