You know, I don't think I've ever paid one red cent for A/V ... mostly had better connections previously, plus there wasn't this penchant for recurring fees (as opposed to the normal way of doing things, i.e., "I've bought it once, it's mine, go away").

This lone aspect really friggin' blows.

It's not a problem only I am having, nimnuts ... obviously this is a problem a number of others have had upgrading, but the apparent solution is rather long and involved to someone like myself who doesn't spend his days working on computers from a (let's call it) technical viewpoint, just a regular user who can generally figure out the occasional problem that crops up here and there just fine.
