Fitness friends...internet cretins...former message board moderators in denial...it's that time of year again.

Image
What time is that, bro?

It's that time of year where all of the biggest developers and publishers in video games...

Activision, EA and Nintendo wrote:
nah, we're good

...well fuck...I mean, it's that time of year again where some of the biggest developers and publishers in video games bring out their big guns...

Image
Did someone say guns?

...to Los Angeles for the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo!

Image

And I'm going to be commenting on most all of it!!!

Image

Let's get excited friends. Sony is going to be showing off VR and possibly talking about new hardware. Microsoft is going to be talking about new hardware...and maybe even more new hardware. And Nintendo...well...Nintendo is going to be showing footage of the new Legend of Zelda on an endless loop...

Image
...hey, two out of three ain't bad!

So, what is everyone looking forward to?

Would have loved to see bungie/Activision show some destiny 2 stuff.
I guess not.

Perhaps a preview of the fall expansion?
No?

OK then. I guess I'll just run kings fall again and throw some money at the screen.

Guessing Bungie will still have a presence on the show floor in Sony's area and that they will be showing something at the Sony press conference.

Odds are very high it will be whatever the Fall Expansion is (Rise of Iron...space wolves FTW?!?!)...wouldn't count on hearing anything about Destiny 2 until early next year.

Continue throwing money at the screen. :D

It seems like a ton of shit has already "leaked" or been properly announced prior to E3, but we have finally made it to the first day of press conferences and there are likely still things to hear about.

Image

EA has it's press conference at 3 CDT today...I'm hoping we get to see some gameplay from the new Mass Effect game...otherwise, I'm not sure what I am looking forward to from them. Hopefully there is some really awkward sports segment with a retired player, because those are always fun.

Oh, and this guy...

Go deep Spencer!

Rumor has it they are bringing Don Mattrick up on stage and lighting him on fire.

I'd whack it to that.

EA has started...and it's apparently dueling presentations...Peter Moore!!!

That's not nearly enough Peter Moore.

That crowd looks stoked.

Vince Zampella...showing off Titanfall 2...now on PS4 as well as Xbox One and PC.

Showing off a bunch of new abilities and maneuvers...this looks pretty sweet.

Whoever edited that trailer needs a raise and a promotion. :D

Single player confirmed!

October 28th.

Madden 17...new and improved taunts!

Now back to London and Peter Moore...who apparently is the Chief Competitive Officer.

New competitive events...EA trying to get that eSports money.

"This guy is about to get laid out!"

eSports is serious business.

The fact they are spending this much time on this crap makes it clear they don't have enough shit to make a 60 minute conference worth it.

Dude broke his collarbone because he had his shoes untied while he was racing a friend.

?!?!

Please Peter...turn this around.

$1 million for the Madden 17 Championship Series.

N7 shirt spotted. Mass Effect time!

Mass Effect now powered by Frostbite.

Now...a behind the scenes look...

Well...we saw some gameplay there...looks well enough I guess?

Now...a practical conversation about play?

Umm...

Peter looks like he's about to fight someone.

FIFA 17 time.

Powered by Frostbite...because why not?

And now some dude chewing the shit out of the scenery talking about growing up playing "football"...

Were people clamoring for a story mode in this game? For real?

"So that's AMAZING"

I'll take your word for it Peter.

Premier League managers are in the game.

Some manager is up on the stage and I don't think he really understands the bit.

Now talking about EA Originals...a new indie games initiative.

Super nervous dude talking about his game Fe.

Jade Raymond now talking about Star Wars.

Apparently there are 7 studios working on Star Wars games.

New Battlefront game in 2017. New game from Visceral in 2018. Respawn working on an additional game. Pretty sure this was all known already.

Now a behind the scenes look at various Star Wars games. Lando in Battlefront spotted!

The concept footage from that Visceral game looked pretty good.

Time to close out the press conference with Battlefield 1.

A teaser for a trailer inside the conference...ooookay.

Battlefield 1 live stream immediately after the conference. And apparently Jamie Foxx and Zac Efron are fans.

The gameplay trailer looked pretty damned good.

Well, that was EA...Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 look pretty good. Would have liked to see more Mass Effect but otherwise it was a pretty good show.

Couldn't stay up for Bethesda last night but it sounds like they were pretty close to the script that was already leaked. Only surprise I can think of was the new Quake game. Oh, and Doom and Fallout 4 are getting VR support at some point.

Skyrim remaster is real. Adds mod support for Xbox One and PS4 versions. PC version will be free for those that already own the original and it's DLC packs.

i saw some of the celebs got custom controllers to play BF1 with, because snoop dogg is too cool to learn WASD. The live gameplay I saw looked like a lot of fun, looking forward to it. I guess looking back on it BF4 was a disapointment to me.... the previous game battlefield 3 was a revelation and brought back so many good memeories from my BF2 playing days... whereas when 4 came out it was good but not really a new gameplay experience over BF3.... by the way, calling the new one BF1 is really going to confuse future generations

Also looking forward to titanfall 2,

Xbox Anywhere

Buy it once, play it on both PC and Xbox One. Game saves transfer seamlessly. Coop play between platforms.

Fuck yes.

Background music. Cortana.

Clubs coming to Xbox Live. Join up with likeminded players. Well ok.

Looking for Group on Xbox Live. I can imagine getting a lot of mileage out of this in Destiny.

Arena on Xbox Live. Compete with other gamers in tournaments right through the console.

Minecraft time.

Play Minecraft on pretty much any platform you can imagine with each other.

John Carmack from Oculus on stage talking to the crowd while wearing an Oculus.

So one person on an iPad, another on a Surface, and someone else on a PC with Oculus. Cats and dogs living together. Yada yada yada.

New Xbox One controller demo.

You design it, Xbox creates it.

Nice!!!
