Has anyone broken the Arabian horse? I can't stay on once I mount her. Any advice?

It didn’t seem that hard when I did it. HVe had other horses toss me but not her.

I figured it out. I basically just flicked down repeatedly. That's weird, though. I've only had one other horse throw me, but I had trouble with her.

that's hilarious, thanks for posting. Pretty amazing how the game is so detailed that people who don't even like games can play it to serve another purpose such as bird watching.

I was playing yesterday and my wife (big fan of astronomy) pointed out that all the constellations are accurate and in the correct spots in the sky.

I'm back into this game hardcore. I can't stand Dutch. He keeps making comments about Arthur being a traitor eventually.

I wish I could be a BACKSTABBER! right now and shoot him in the face.

I don’t spend much time in camp so I don’t have to listen to him but I’ve gotten a few remarks from him. I think I’m about to just push through now and finish instead of just messing around. It’s always a fine line between enjoying the open world and burning out on the game before I finish.

Not that I can remember. I just wouldn't mind off-ing Dutch. Most annoying character in the game.

Arthur clearly has misgivings about whether Dutch actually wants out of The Outlaw Life, and Dutch has picked up on it. Arthur has gotten to watch Dutch kill people and [SPOILER]....get people killed all in the name of finding a way out, but nothing ever changes. They always end up at a new camp running the same grifts and robbing and killing the same kinds of people.

Personally I think they wrote the Arthur character a little meeker than he should be for being such an efficient killer, and he shows way too much deference to Dutch over and over again despite the path of death and destruction Dutch leads the gang down.

all this crap with Dutch must happen after chapter 3 cause so far he's been cool to me. Even got me deputized in Rhodes.

I'm in chapter 3 and just starting to hear it now.

I have brought in more money than him and the rest of the camp combined times 50, so he can go fuck himself. Arthur should be the leader.

I'm going to need you guys to progress a little faster.

I think the bird watcher beat it in less gameplay hours than you guys.

I enjoy the side stuff. Hunting and fishing is great.

I could have ended chapter 3 a long time ago but I'm holding out.

I checked and I'm only at 35% of the story, but 51% of total completion. still in chapter 3.

The challenges look to be pretty ridiculous. Im supposed to kill 5 cougars with a bow? In over 2 months of playing the game I've seen maybe 3 cougars in total.

You can find plenty of them if you head to Kildeer and Lake Zurich.

Finally made it to Chapter 4 last night. Hoping the new chapter pumps some life back into the game cause it's starting to get a little stale.

Just go with side missions and main story if you feel that way. The story is very well done.

the story is very good, but the missions all seem the same. Go somewhere, get some story and then all hell breaks loose and a big shootout breaks out.

Side missions are good, but the rewards are very weak. Money doesn't really matter anymore, not much to buy at this point.

That's kinda the Rockstar M.O at this point with GTA/Red Dead. The campaign missions can come off shallow and repetitive.

Agree on the money. I have like 4 grand, and there is nothing I'll really ever spend it on. At least you go to St. Denis in Chapter 4. It's a change of scenery, especially if you hadn't already explored it.

Saint Denis is a pain in the ass to ride your horse through. There's just too many people. There's too many instances where I have run over someone accidentally. Then you get wanted, and it's a pain in the ass to get out of town because lawmen are everywhere.

I also had the weirdest thing happen to me when I was playing over the weekend. I got ambushed on the trail by LeMoyne Raiders. I did pretty well fighting them off. The music that kicked in when I got ambushed stopped because everyone was dead. I started looting all the dead bodies. After looting about 4 of them, I got closer to their wagon when all of the sudden I get lit up like a christmas tree by a guy with a gatling gun. How the fuck was that guy even still alive? About a minute went by with no shooting towards me, and then all of the sudden this guy popped up out of nowhere. Total bullshit.

I'm issuing a weekend challenge to the board. How long can you survive in Valentine when you shoot every person you see? Go to Valentine, get the stop watch going on your phone and start plugging away. Let's see how many minutes you can survive without getting gunned down. Or, can you eventually get to the point where you can massacre the entire town to the point where they even run out of lawmen to send in?

Tip: Get a couple saves going so you can do this and then go back to a previous save if you don't want to pick up the massive bounty that will surely come from this.

Is this single player or RDO? If it is single player, I can attempt this weekend. I don't have any good weapons or anything in RDO as I'm not even through the tutorial yet.

Single player. I don't mess with multiplayer.

I assume single player. That's all I play.

What is the online version like? Are you playing through the story line or is there some other objective?

if you're really skilled you can record the carnage and post the video here. I would definitely watch that. I doubt I'm skilled enough to manage that myself, but would be cool to see. Bonus points for mixing it up and having some creative kills in there. Molotovs, throwing knives, explosive arrows etc.
