So the Mac I have since 2014 the screen went to shit on me. I usually wipe it down with clorox wipes but now I read that is not a good thing. I've done it like 10000 times w/ this computer and no problem. But the last time I did it, my screen is flashing now. Not sure if related but that's what the internet said.

So any rec on a cheap laptop to use until I get my mac repaired? I'm looking to spend like $100 - I do also have $100 in gift cards so max $200.

I only need a laptop for internet, watching cubs games, this forum and the history forum. That's about it. I don't do any business type of programs on it.

Is Chromebook ok? I read it is just for internet but it can be slow. Any other recs?

i dont know the technical specs but it's the 2013 version of mac. its lasted me 10 years and probably can go another 5-7. If it's cheap to get it fixed I'd rather do that than buy a new one which is like $1000+.

Look on Craigslist. Often people will refurbish old Macbooks or even iMacs and sell them for $200 or less.
