...does five "new" maps mean five brand new maps or five "if you haven't played it, it's new to you" maps?

I'm with you and guessing the latter.

Thing is, the last time I played MW2 was the day the first map pack launched...my interest in that game has pretty much died...maybe it will fill the post-Halo Reach beta hole in my gaming life...

3 new maps...Fuel, Trailer Park and Carnival...Fuel is big, Trailer Park is tight, and Carnival has a clown's mouth...sweet.

After thinking about it for a bit, I might actually buy this map pack due to my fear that another quality CoD game is not coming for a long, long time.

The maps in this second update are much better than the first, IMO.

Thats what I figured, the trailer park one looked epic, as did the carnival... Good to hear...

Carnival is easily the best map Infinity Ward has put out. The number of places to hide and shot angle options is amazing. The only game style that I am a little "iffy" on it Domination for this map considering the flag holder's ability to camp in multiple spots for each capture point.

Trailer Park is a lot like Rust or Shipment from MW1, although not as tiny. Lots of corners to take, and even a few places to hide in larger team matches. Can get a little annoying when everyone is throwing frags or using nade-launchers.

Fuel is absolutely gigantic. Almost too large of a map, honestly. The fact that there are multiple levels just makes the map that much bigger. Frankly, they could eliminate the whole area by the oil refinery/electric generators as they have no bearing on gameplay whatsoever.

That can be said for the game in general. People just do things to death. Makes it not so fun sometimes...

That's why I love playing at around 12 or 1 AM, if you get a good group going at around that time, people tend to notice, and there is very little turnover between games. The worst part of the n00b tubing shit is that once one person starts, another person gets pissed and uses it to retaliate, then the flood gates open... once that happens private parties are the way to go...

I think I'm going to try out the online beta testing of Medal of Honor later this month, I want to see how that compares to MW. The previews of the game make it look identical to MW with the amount of players, weapon types, map sizes, and game modes. It has potential. And maybe it will be a good alternative if the n00b tubing shit is limited/ and the server holds...

n00b tubing would easily be remedied if they just dropped the leveling system for the gernade launcher for each gun. At least, it would limit it a bit.
