Damn...this makes me sad face...

06.17.10 | Jack Wall steps down as Principle Conductor of Video Games Live
Co-creator, executive producer and principle conductor Jack Wall announced today that he will step down from day to day duties with Video Games Live to get back to composing full time:

"While VGL has been one of the greatest experiences of my entire life, I feel that it is time to get back into the studio to create again. I love VGL and I'll always be grateful for this time traveling and seeing the world, conducting the greatest musicians on the planet. Certainly that experience will inform how I work on new music in the future. I'm very excited to collaborate with some of the amazing musicians and creative people I've had the good fortune to work with over these last 5 years and I definitely look forward to creating new music."

Tommy Tallarico will continue on with VGL producing concerts in North America and abroad for 2010 and beyond.

"I wish Tommy and the rest of the team well as they continue to make VGL a household word for the foreseeable future."

It is sad, but not unexpected. You see, Jack Wall was a simple video game conductor. You might say he was a cockeyed optimist who got himself mixed up in the high-stakes game of VGL and international intrigue. His was but a story of love, deception, greed, lust and unbridled enthusiasm.
