I've noticed something odd with my network and my Xboxs...whenever I plug in a second one, it will have a NAT Rating of Moderate or Closed...however, the other Xbox on the same network will have an Open NAT...is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing?

Also, seems like just having a different Xbox plugged in is doing it, as I took the original off the network and the second one is still doing it.

I'm sure there's an Avaya technician around here somewhere who is qualified to answer that.

Once again the NAT is open...all is well...

...had to go into the router settings and do the port forwarding thing messedup was talking about.

I'd test out to see if both Xboxs hooked up at the same time play nice, but that will have to be later...too lazy right now...

Phew... I would've just suggested you change the flux capacitor. I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Did you try unplugging it then plugging it back in?

Well...sort of...

I originally noticed this problem maybe 4 or 5 months ago...my friend and I each had our Xboxs running...mine said open NAT, his said moderate NAT...

...last month, he came down again and same thing...

...then when I plugged in my other Xbox for the first time last night, it said moderate NAT (which later turned to a closed NAT, which completely killed my online experience)...

...so, in a roundabout way, yes, I've tried unplugging it. :P

Sounds like you need a T3 teleleviathan switch and a pack of shielded cabling. You just need to reroute the terminus into the input and then fire up the socket with the port. Should take care of this no problem. Just whatever you do don't feed the machine after midnight.
