North American gamers will soon get to enjoy the entire upgraded NES Super Mario Bros. collection on the Wii, as Nintendo has confirmed a limited edition version of Super Mario All-Stars due on December 12.

The four-game limited-edition compilation due on December 12 for $30 will pack the SNES-enhanced versions of Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3 onto a single Wii disc. In addition to the games, the collection will come with two bonus items in the form of a series soundtrack on CD and a 32-page booklet chronicling the franchise's early years.

The original versions of all four games are currently available on the Wii Virtual Console at $5 each, except for The Lost Levels, which sells for $6. Do you think the bonuses are worth the extra $9?

After playing the New Super Mario Bros Wii game, I can't go back to single player side scrolling Mario. :( Besides, I have this on emu.

Are you talking about the one in the red box, or the Galaxy one?

Is the game bad, or was it so good that it ruined all other side scrollers?

I've heard that game has great griefing potential...alas, I have very few friends, so I've yet to experience the co-op aspect of New Super Mario Bros.

Galaxy was fun, but I still have a hard time relying on using the Wiimote for a platformer.
