Yeah the game had a few flaws. I thought the girlfriend thing was stupid. Also gang wars could stop you from exploring more than 5 minutes at a time. You could go weeks and weeks without eating. Sex appeal? In a video game? Schtoopud.

The whole point of GTA is just to faff about, run people over, explore the sandbox, etc. San Andreas was the first to turn the game into mini-Sim City. The in GTA 4 it got even worse.

I loved GTA 3 and Vice City, but I think Saints Row 2 was better than the others.

I think you're exaggerating how much time the side activities in SA took. Sure, eating and working out weren't oodles of fun, but you could spend one minute every hour doing it and be fine. You could just blow them off completely too and be a scrawny wimp.
