The Beatles' catalog is now on Spotify. Nice.

The Beatles have approximately 150 great songs. A Top 10 could be argued all day.

No

Fuck the Beatles.

I can respect their contributions, but I have a really hard time coming up with even 10 songs of theirs that don't make me want to slam my head through a wall.

All I have are:

1. A Day in the Life
2. All you need is love
3. Let it be
4. Across the Universe
5. Get Back
6. Happiness is a warm gun

That's about all I have got.

Try "It's All Too Much," "I Should Have Known Better," and "There's a Place," which you shouldn't be sick of yet. I like those a lot.

I had a list of about 10-15 lesser played songs that I find to be fantastic, but I waited too long to hit submit and it logged me out, and I don't feel like coming up with all of them again. But...

Rocky Raccoon
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Glass Onion
I Want You
The Fool On the Hill
For No One
Norwegian Wood
Girl
Polythene Pam

etc etc

Is While My Guitar Gently Weeps really lesser played? A lot of people love that one.

The Abbey Road medley is really wonderful and my favorite Beatles 'song' by a large margin.

All Beatles songs get a lot of play by me. :)

But yeah...it isn't one of the 20 likeliest songs you'd hear on the radio. Minus Breakfast with the Beatles when that was around.

Guess I haven't listened to Sunday morning radio in so long I just assumed it was gone. My dad would have it on every week...I definitely grew up with it. That's for sure. I love that they opened up the entire discography. Really made me realize even at a young age how many great songs they had.

I agree...but Come Together is not one of them.

This is not something a person of quality would typically say, even in jest.

I don't see why "Come Together" can't be top ten.

I think I love "What Is Life" more than most Beatles songs.

Maybe it's due to the overexposure on classic rock stations, but I just don't care for it. On the other hand, I'm a fan of some of the songs that inspire the most derision (such as Ob-la-di Ob-la-da).

Truest Dat. They have throwaway songs that are among the greatest pop compositions in the history of the world--ever, by anyone. From I've Just Seen a Face (19 f'ing 65) to Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End--forget it. Nobody pulls Shakespeare off the shelf and actually reads it, but everyone knows that it created everything that followed it.
