If you have the thought of rain, why didn't this race start already to make sure you finish? Even if 20 minutes ago, still an extra 20 minutes if it does rain.

There is so much pre race stuff for this race, moving up the start time or altering the timeline would just be a mess.

Bunch of cars moving to the back of the field for crashes and engine changes. This is a track where that won't affect the outcome of the race.

Start the race at 4pm take at break at lap 100 until sunset and then finish under the lights. That would be a really cool way to have this race.
