My point is, he was hit direct at basically 200mph, again direct, how do you survive that? Also, the videos I have seen where they have pulled a black screen out, convey it also. ☹️

What made that wreck awful is that he took nearly the entire force of that 200 mph. His car had slowed down so much that it absorbed that entire hit. They would also not have dicked around for 30 minutes if they were trying to save him. Whomever looked into that side window first absolutely knew.

I heard next to nothing about it the post-crash activities. At least his car was still moving down the track vs. standing still. Alex Zanardi survived a 200+ MPH direct hit in an open-wheel car.

They put them up when they want privacy because someone is seriously injured. The only times I have seen them was with Earnhardt‘s wreck and Greg Moore’s crash when he died at California.
