I am doubling down on Regan Smith. After Jeff Burton's 5th place finish at Daytona, I may need to say down and just pick my favorite driver. I am already 20 points down! :(

I think it's time to take a look at some of the Race Officials for Sunday's Phoenix Subway Fresh Fit 500.

To kick things off, let's start with the Grand Marshall who will give the Command to Start Engines:

Detroit Lions All-Pro defensive tackle, Ndamukong Suh, will serve as Grand Marshal for the 2012 SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500 on Sunday, March 4th at Phoenix International Raceway.

You may remember Suh from an incident that occurred on Thanksgiving when he held a Green Bay Packers player down and then stomped on him. Suh received a two-game suspension.

He's also a Subway spokesman, just like nerdy Jared Fogle.

Wasn't it Sadler's dumb ass that ruined your 48 team's chances last week in the Cup race?

Yes.

Between Sadler and Knaus, MY GUY! currently sits at -23 points.

That penalty was no joke with this current points system.

When is the coverage starting? The green flag is under 4 hours away.

The full beard is a good look for Kyle Petty.

Fuel...Denny Hamlin's #11 FedEx TOYOTA had just enough of it to lead the final 59 laps of NASCAR's first of two trips to Phoenix in only his second race with new crew chief Darian Grubb to take the checkered flag in the Subway Fresh Fit 500. For Hamlin, it snapped a 22-race winless streak and was his first career win at Phoenix International Raceway in 14 starts at the track.

While Hamlin held off Kevin Harvick's #29 Budweiser Chevy to take the checkered flag, Harvick ran out of fuel and finished about 7 seconds behind to finish 2nd. Greg Biffle's #16 3M Ford finished 3rd for the second week in a row, while Jimmie Johnson's #48 Lowe's Chevy overcame a disappointing 42nd place finish at the Daytona 500 to finish 4th yesterday & Brad Keselowski's #2 Miller Lite Dodge rounded out the Top 5 at Phoenix.

As for the standings, Hamlin has a 6 point lead over Biffle leaving Phoenix and Harvick by 8 points overall. Matt Kenseth's #17 Best Buy Ford is fourth 10 points back of Hamlin and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s #88 National Guard/Diet Mountain Dew Chevy rounds out the Top 5, just 17 points back of the leader.

Up next, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, or NSCS for short, stays West with the Kobalt Tools 500 in Las Vegas. Carl Edwards drove the #99 Subway Ford to Victory Lane in this race 1 year ago. Just like yesterday, "NASCAR on FOX" coverage revs up at 1:30p Sunday with Chris Myers, Darrell & Michael Waltrip, along with Jeff Hammond live from trackside.

If I may break my arm patting myself on the back.....had it not been for Scorehead's bumping of my pick, I would have been 2 for 2 to start the year.

Bastage.
