One of my best buds moved to ATL after college. Married a sweet local girl that has a idiot for a brother. Her father testfied against the mob and they grew up in witness protection, but that's a story for another time. Anyway, the idiot/redneck brother HATED Earnhardt Sr. So, he goes to a race, gets shitfaced in the parking lot and sees 2 dudes carrying a styrofoam cooler with #3 stickers all over it. He runs up and punts the cooler which promptly explodes. Dude just keeps running while the #3 fans give chase. Now, this guy is pretty good size and knows how to take care of himself. He runs out of gas after a couple hundred yards, stops, turns around and gets ready to get down. Guys giving chase take one look at him and turn around and walk away.

Kahner needs to have the sac to move Kenseth without wrecking him. He could have given him the right side of his door and won that thing.

Nascar needs more short tracks and less super speedways and tri-ovals. There was more good racing tonight than on all the tri-ovals combined.

This track still isn't where it needs to be after the re-surfacing but its definitely getting better. Once that bottom line comes in a little more its going to be can't miss racing.

Bristol is still a better track than 90% of the tracks on the schedule. There is Bristol and Richmond, then all the rest.

I would have to agree with that. My favorite is IRP but that isn't even in play and never was a cup race either.

I forgot about Dover. Thats a great short track too. I agree with UMN about IRP. My Son and I used to go to the Busch race there every year...until Nascar made the mistake of moving it to the big track.

*Dealbreaker award ______

2 races until the Chase. Max points differential is 92. 13th place RFDC cannot catch Hatchetman and newper at 728, so they and Peoria Matt, Dr. Ken, Apologist, and even Urlacher’s missing neck, have qualified for the Chase. Congrats to them and Apologist for picking winner Matt Kenseth and picking up a dealbreaker for the playoffs. Sadface for City of Fools as he cannot catch 12th place spanky and has been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Although he did win his LCW quarterfinal matchup against Scorehead.

Speaking of the LCW tournament, quarterfinal winners were SHARK, Otunga’sCoffeeMug, spanky, and the already mentioned City of Fools. Since spanky moved into the Top12, RFDC dropped down and will take his place in the semi-finals against CofF. Here is the link for the semifinals: http://betterbracketmaker.com/#!/16216774b9025

The players still alive in the LCW will be highlighted in green. The next race is Sunday night in Atlanta. That is going to be some good freaking times.

The following memo has been released from the Nascar Rules Cabal PR Office.

LCW for a thirteenth playoff spot announced. That's Last Chance (W)Qualifier for those that don't know. There will be a 16 seed head to head tournament for a 13th playoff spot the last four weeks of the regular season. There are 14 players on the outside looking in of the playoffs. There have been many sadfaces and hurt feelings over the first half of the Nascar calendar. "That asswipe stole my Top 5 finish", "Dammit, why do they still let Juan Montoya on the track??", or "How they only got one paved road in Arkansas, but Mark Martin gets at least 30 points every week he races!?!?" These cries and gnashing of teeth have been heard for ages. SO we will have a single elimination bracket style tournament to get one more player in the, errr, playoffs. The 13th and 14th positions will be the Top and 2nd seeds and get a bye the first week. Confused? Good!

"But Rules Cabal, what if I move up or down in the standings in the last four weeks, how will that affect my position?" Great question! We are going with Standard Staffordshire Relagation Ruleset on this deal. In English, seeding is only changed for those coming and going from the Top 12. There will be lots of swindlin' and swerve-in the last four weeks, but in the end, 13 will advance to the playoffs. Feel free to ask any questions and file complaints and grievances up front.
