Why wouldnt a really big track work? Like 3 mile straightaways? Yes, I know the crowd couldnt see it all, but they cant see it all anyways right now? And would be cool to see them just go engine v engine and then bring ti down as they go into a bank turn. Ok, give me the reasons.

There is a big ass track in Germany. The Nurbergring. It is nine miles around. A bigger track won't be built since it will be too expensive to build and concessions, parking, etc will too spread out.

The newest track in North America is in Austin, TX. Road track built for Formula 1. It is quite compact for a three ish mile course.

They should build a track with intersections. Just cut to the chase of what people pay to see.

Tons of rural cheap land to make it possible.

The "concessions" too far apart is also meaningless as its all about TV....the long straightaways could really be cool.

Ultimately, just trying to avoid the crash after crash if the last 5 laps or so. Seems every time I watch they have to keep stopping the race every lap.

Then I am not sure how that works and why, if you have enough gas for 2 laps left, then they send you into the pits, you should have to come out in order as when the accident happening. Not sure they do that.

Kind of like racing my Hot Wheels down the single track as a kid. Those damn things could fly.

The bigger the track, the worse the racing is. NASCAR needs more small tracks & less long tracks.

A). The cars would go too fast - somebody would die in every crash
B). The cars would get too far apart - making for the worst kind of viewership
C). The cleanup for a wreck/blown engine would take a week and a half.

Just put them all in Smart cars and have them race around a high school track.

Good idea but too dangerous. never gonna happen. you got fans to worry about killin too. I mean not really worried about the fans themselves, but the lawsuits it would bring.

The Nordschleife is a real course though. Not left hand turns and straightaways.

For open wheel it produces a good show. It was built for open wheel originally.

Volkswagen has a 12 mile oval. Bring out some late 90s CART Reynards with period engines, and see what happens.

I used to love Indy car way back more than Nascar by a mile. When they got away from fun tracks and all of it was just another week like indy started to suck. Pit stops winning races. Before Nascar changed the cars again that COT was the same shit.

Volkswagen has a 12 mile oval. Bring out some I'm on some site where people are talking about what kind of lowlife scum steal other peoples food from work. I list all the times I've done it...this week. :)late 90s CART Reynards with period engines, and see what happens.

All of the above with sports cars and open wheel taking precedent over stock cars. Stock cars on a road course in person is something to behold.

Just ball-busting is all.
