I like Modern Love and Rebel Rebel is okay but that's about it. I like a lot of Iman's home dec fabrics, does that count for anything?

Can't hate on a guy for showing love for the greatest guitarist of all time. *skypoint*

count me out on the David Bowie fan list. Just didn't like his voice. I'm sure he had an impact on other artists, but much like Bob Dylan, I really only appreciate his music when it's covered by someone else.

I always liked Aladdin Sane more than Ziggy Stardust. Better "Let's Spend The Night Together" than the Stones'.

I'll give Aladdin Sane a spin next. So far I have tried the following in order of what I liked best to worst. Also please note today is the first time I have ever heard
any of these albums in full.

Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust
Hunky Dory
The Man Who Sold The World
Diamond Dogs
Heroes
Low

Station to Station, man. And you liked Low the least? That's my favorite!

Truthfully I didn't completely get through that one as I had to run to lunch but I wasn't enjoying the first half much.
I should give the whole thing a shot to be fair. I was going to give Station to Station and Young Americans a listen
before I head home if I can fit it in. I have Aladdin going now.. That is a lot of Bowie in one day.

Aladdin Sane was probably my first true exposure to David Bowie...used to work with a guy that insisted that we listen to the album at least once every shift.

Sticking with this, though I still can't explain it.

The music world just got a little less interesting. I hate that I never took the opportunity to see him live.

Bowie was one of the first shows I attended as a youth at the Rosemont Horizon. I had crappy seats, and the cavernous venue sucked, but it was still a memorable concert--especially "Moonage Daydream," which has been one of my favorite Bowie tunes ever since.

I love Space Oddity but Fame ruined Bowie for me.

God, I hated that song. It's just awful. (Let's Dance might be worse).

Truthfully, my favorite Bowie song is his duet with Bing Crosby on Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth. That's great.

Even so, he was an artist. Artists draw out emotion. RIP.

Listening to Low again this morning and liking it better. Depending on what I am working on I don't always really
get to "listen" to the music like I should. Enjoyed Station to Station first thing this morning. I should have time
this afternoon to knock out 3-4 more albums and might give the brand new one a chance then I will stop. Nice to
have 3-4 new go to albums in the future though.

I have all the respect in the world for him as an artist. Many loved him and are highly influenced by him. I'm old enough to know his place in music history, but he only has a handful of songs I care about. I get it, but personally always found him overrated. Still....I can admit...a real loss.

I thought that the interview that Laurence Holmes did with Norm Winer on David Bowie on Monday night was very interesting. Loved it!

I'm just glad he didn't sit down with Windy Rice.
