My parents weren't really into talking about stuff so when it came time for puberty they gave me this cartoon book called "What's Happening to Me?" by none other than the great Peter Mayle. I think he wrote it for his own kids. Probably his best selling book.

I think my mom rented something like this for free from Blockbuster. I just remember the two cartoon leads get out of a bubble bath with bubbles over the privates and then someone turns on the fan and you can see everything.

Wasn't he some kind of travel writer, too? I remember working at a bookstore and no one ever bought his books.

We also had a half-assed biography/how to be cool book from that little bastard kid who played Urkel.

Urkel was the original PUA.
