This was the beginning of the end, that spoiled,inept Caller Bob taking control and firing competent men for yes men soyboys.

Did Phillips take over the business side when Vainisi was made GM? Imagine the alternate timeline if McCaskey hadn't been an idiot.

I'm too young to know Jerry but have read a little bit about him now. Found this great article with quotes from Jerry about his brother Jack, who was a scout for the Packers during the 50s.

I was pretty young, but as I recall, Jerry was loyal to Ditka, which the Mclaskeys hated
