As much of a political joke as some believe Palin to be she was imminently more qualified to be President than the clown we currently have in office.

It doesn't matter....CH is correct...There wasn't a chance in hell McCain was winning that election. It did not matter who he chose as running mate.

I do take exception to his actions as a waffling, weird, self-serving Senator and Candidate for POTUS.

Jesus Christ...if he did have his way and chose to run with Joe Lieberman, he would have gotten wiped even worse in the election.

And now they chose to exclude Palin from his funeral.

McCain suffered much as a POW.

He was often a bitter and angry man. Even into death it appears.

Hadn't heard that one. Odd given how he publicly was still supportive.

Sad!

May be a family decision. He never had a bad word to say about her.

I'm really surprised that Republicans are against changing the name of the Russell Senate Building to the McCain Senate Building. Especially considering Russell was a Democrat. Can't upset ignorant people from the south.

I have not been weeping over the death of John McCain, but holy shit would he ever be an improvement over one of the worst scumbags of our time in Richard Russell.

AZ gov should appoint Palin to McCain's vacant senate seat. Pretty sure the Palin brood flew south and put down roots in Arizona after the 2008 debacle.

Its funny how the left's amazing adoration at a guy who they called a racist continuously.

McCain was far from a saint as a navy pilot, a husband, and a politician. He crashed five airplanes. Was promoted multiple times over more qualified people because of his admiral father. He was arrested for drunken behavior many times while in the military but was never disciplined because of his daddy. He openly carried on affairs while his wife was stateside including with the woman he married when he finally got divorced. He spent about 28 hours on combat missions and received more medals for it than combat hours flown. I doubt any other pilot ever got more decorations than hours flown.

Yeah he was a captive for many years and was tortured by the North Vietnamese and could have been released sooner if he played the daddy card when it was offered. Good for him. But other than that, his military career was pedestrian and is like John Kerry who to my mind was as close to a traitor that exists.

Look at this Nazi trying to denigrate a real hero. I got two words for ya, bub: stolen valor. That's what Trumpets like you are. Chicken hawks. But I got a good Nazi word that you and your fascist pals probably like to throw around: blitzkrieg. That's what I'll bring any time you want to throw hands. You say you got a Purple Heart? After I'm done pounding your chest like King Kong you'll definitely have one. John Kerry was no traitor. And any janitor swamp ass mop water guzzler like you who wants to try and desecrate a war hero, I will make mystery meat of your sympathetic system. The swift sweep of my left leg known as Poseidon will crush your little submarine and topple you over to the ground. So watch what you say about the beloved left when you're in my presence, chief.

Funny shit. You're a wimp. Calling John Kerry a war hero is hilarious. He LIED about what happened in the war and the medals he got, just like McCain, were only given because his old man was an admiral also. Both these guys probably had many laughs about how they were given special treatment because of their daddies.

I repeat, a real military man would know how to use the quote function, and have something better than a Pee Wee Herman comeback. Pee Wee Herman...say, Hawkeroo, how do you feel about jerking off in porn theaters? The Venn Diagram circles of "I know you are but what am I?" comebacks and weird guys that jerk off in shady porn theaters intersect quite well.

I'm hearing the Hawk was actually a Signal Officer in the Army Reserves. He actually had to run paperwork back and forth around the office on weekends. Not exactly a brave American hero.

That explains his deficiencies in using the quote function, having good comebacks, and propensity for jerking off in seedy porn theaters. I'm sure he was a terrible baseball coach, too. Office jockey in the reserves doesn't really scream "Leader of Men" to me.
