Another piece of my childhood fades away. He was one of the few reasons my mom would stay up and watch Carson on some nights.

Those were great memories. I never saw him in person, but I loved the guy.

He was like the Elvis of Comedians. Rest in Peace.

Tremendously awful news.

Saw him ~ a decade or so ago out at the Paramount ... he seemed one foot in the grave to look at him but he could still pretty much do his gimmick at only a slightly reduced pace.

I would like to have had some drinks with guys like that back in those days if I was old enough.

They probably would have found a barmaid to give you a blowjob while you were at it. Gotta take care of the youth...

He was good but nowhere near as great as Louis C.K.

Heaven just got funnier. Look up his Carson sit down when he is talking about filming Kelly's Heros in Yugoslavia. He said it was surprising they managed to finish filming.

Baskin Robbins called. They're down to five flavors.

I had the displeasure of meeting Mr. Rickles once. Longest elevator ride of my life. It was terrible! He smelled like rotten garbage. His "companion" looked like she hadn't slept in weeks. Which is ironic, as that woman was clearly a prostitute.

There combined age had to be at least 200. Completely disgusting. I'm just kidding, he was one of my favorites. May he rest in peace.

When I was in law school, the attorney I clerked for had a 90-year old dad who was still practicing law. I used to run errands for him, and there definitely was a repugnant smell. Even though he was tremendously wealthy, I really don't think that he showered or bathed much, as it was probably a huge chore and quite dangerous given the frailty of his old age.

R.I.P. Mr. Rickles. One of a kind. Will never be duplicated.
