Damn. Soundgarden was one of my all-time favorite bands.

I'm sure Temple of the Dog's Say Hello to Heaven will be played a lot today.

That is too bad if true. I would have said guess the drug/booze combo.

Out of everyone that died last year, none of them effected me

This one hurts. And I never even saw the guy live, I just listened to his songs so much. Some of my first memories of him are rusty cage in the video game road rash lol.

Can't be suicide. What the fuck would he have to be sad about.

:( This was pretty shocking news to me this morning. You never know what people are really going through, I thought things were
going well with the Temple of the Dog thing coming back and everything. Shitty news. I'll reserve judgment until the tox panels come
back but based on his past it was likely drugs.

No, no, no. This fucking sucks. What a great voice--and he seemed like a great guy. I think I've seen them five or six times--Jesus Christ, I first listened to them when I was in high school. This sucks.

Damn. Always enjoyed his work. "Fell On Black Days" will always be a special song to me. Soundgarden was the goods. Never listened to Audioslave.

One of the best songs ever made. I love cranking it in the car and just cruisin

I really liked their first CD. The ones after that, not as much.

The last time I saw them, my camera sucked. I was sober, though.

That sucks. Soundgarden didn't get enough love relative to their contemporaries. No sentimental attachment but yes, "Fell on Black Days" is an awesome song.

So were William Shakespeare, Christopher Reeve, John Wayne Gacy, Abbie Hoffman, Harry Nillson, Harry Houdini, Roy Orbison, and Frank Zappa.

The last song I saw Soundgarden preform live was "Beyond the Wheel". Doesn't get any better than that.

Badmotorfinger came out my freshman year in college. I have a ton of great memories listening to that album. This sucks.

His Bond tune for Casino Royale was very underrated. It's one of my favorite 007 songs.

The 52 Pickup Club.

Wait--Roy Orbison was only 52 (when he died)? He looked like he was about 86.

He didn't look a day over 83.

The only one of his solo albums I have is Euphoria Morning. It's very good. Some of the highlights (IMO):

Can't Change Me
Flutter Girl
Follow My Way
When I'm Down
Mission
Moonchild

Well, that's like half of the album and the rest of the songs are pretty good, too. Those are just my favorites.
