ND got him from Northwestern if I remember correctly.
It's something they may try again with the current NU coach someday.

Fitzgerald doesn't have a lot of love for ND from some of the older interviews I've seen. Think it goes back to recruitment but p im sure a hearty raise would take care of that but I'm not sure he'd be wise to leave his current gig. Gets paid well in a fairly low pressure environment at a job that he probably could have for life if he wants.
